Walsh has said he will choose the captain, but it hasn't been announced yet, and that he doesn't like more than one captain

I have a feeling Sloane will get it

Think you are under rating him a bit guys. Not a star by any means but would be in most 22s in the league.

Essendon, Freo, Brisbane, Dogs, Carlton just to name a few more teams he would make the starting 22 in.
No star but always a solid contributor. A bit like K Cornes.

That's because you've spent up all your salary cap on a couple of players

Cornes? Please!

VB could only dream about finishing top 3 in the B&F once, let alone 10 top 3 placings from the last 11 seasons.

I would have compared him to Cassisi. Both strong leaders without being oustanding players.

Cassisi comparison is better. These types of players role within the team cannot be understated. People will have their opinons on players like VB but while they continue to be picked in sides, the people that opions matter the most obviously see their value.

Agree FS. If VB was at Port, I do believe he would get a game, solely based on his leadership qualities on field and would be able to execute a negating role. There can be no denying that whilst he is an average player amongst the competition, the crows did miss him this season.
