Phil Hughes badly injured

First Class Cricket Talk (International and State)

Re: Phil Hughes badly injured

Now reports that the pressure on the brain is now stable.

Knowing some first class cricketers from both here and one of Phil's County teams (Worcestershire) they are all genuinely shocked at what has transpired. The whole international cricket community from Virat Kohli to Ian Botham have been on Twitter saying something.

Poor bloody bloke. Good news that things are a bit more stable.
It's a long way back to him playing cricket again, if at all.
But that's pretty small fry compared to the alternative.

Playing cricket compared to living a healthy life. I know what I'd pick. Hopefully it doesn't come to that. Keep fighting Hughesy, the whole sporting world is praying for you little buddy.

Had the same sick feeling watching the incident as when I saw aryton senna sitting unmoving in his car. That moment when you know what you are seeing just isn't right. I was having a shit day but it all has a new perspective with this awful news. Way way too soon ....
