The SAAFL are implementing internal clauses like this so SAAFL players have more incentive to remain in the SAAFL, seems logical to me. Maybe leagues like the Barossa should follow suit, instead of not allowing any internal transfer and making players leave their league if they want a change of club.

Its not an internal clause and when you think affiliated league, think division also

Yep, misread it, sorry. Might stop clubs from poaching Under 18s with the potential to be very good senior footballers in the future.

A division is not an affiliated league, the C9AFL is the affiliated league.

Another poorly thought out rule by the C9AFL (who now control the CFL, hence it has been added), aimed to protect their league, will just make opposition players within the league more attractive as they are 0 pointers, watch the cannibalism!

9.5 Affiliated Leagues that have divisional competitions will consider each division as a League for the purpose of implementing the APPS.

A point system doesn't allow them to do this.

Yeah but aren't ressie players 0 points? Ive seen plenty of div 1 b grade players that would dominate the plains league. Bring in 4 a graders worth 3 points each and throw in 3 or 4 zero pointers and ya starting to build a decent side.

I've seen Div 1 A grade 'stars' not be able to dominate a lot of country leagues including the Plains, what makes you think B Graders can...

They've already released to the clubs a draft indicative fixture.

Grand Final to be on 26 September (AFL preliminary final Weekend) so essentially the same as this year.

Clearances don't open until 1 February

Can we release a couple of the big name signings in the last month jo172 or is that going to upset some of the club hierarchy??
