Money related or fallout at the Lakeside??

Good on Loxton for throwing a bit of coin around.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Tanunda are out of the game. When Grose said they would need to better the $900 on offer from Berri they laughed and said goodbye!

Shame Loxton doesn't spend some money on their junior in 2015. Some disappointing results from their u/13's and u/15's in 2014.

BOM... whats the latest news with BSR? There are whispers a couple of their better players have left to try their skills in the Barossa? Any update on a possible coach for next season?

Yep Payne, Cowland, Marks all gone possibly to Barossa not sure if it's sorted where they'll land yet. A number of others leaving also due to retirement or other commitments.
All will be known in a couple weeks where the club stands for 2015, as of a couple weeks ago only a couple more players were needed to make a go of it- when that happens a coach will commit who's likely to bring 4-5 of his own very handy players. If all goes to plan it will be a very different BSR but still a very competitive unit.

Not to put the 3 lads from BSR that are leaving down, but they are in for a heck of a shock at Tanunda.
A REAL pre-season, REAL training sessions, REAL commitment level.
Players that are recently ex-SANFL, not ex-their 45th birthday.
I think all 3 will be handy B-graders or maybe fringe A-graders on a flank, pocket or wing at best.
But they wont be Big fish anymore, they will be down the tadpole scale end.
If BSR have the numbers, and the prospective coach joins, there will be 7-8 handy footballers to replace them,
Plus whispers BSR's 'aged' recruit from last year may continue on after all.
Would be right in the mix If all that happens.....
...If......

I must admit I will be watching with interest as I've struggled to place how they will go.
They are certainly the best few that will have headed to the Valley from BSR for some time ..
But more important is making sure BSR has enough to hang on. Its good to hear the veteran may be hanging around, and if the grapevine is correct, the club will still be in a good spot.
I certainly look forward for dropping up for a look when I get a chance again next year.

Payney certainly has what it takes. Be a very handy half forward/second midfielder.
Not so sure about Troy and Samson.

To be fair to the lads I don't think they're in for a shock at all I know all 3 are fully aware of the huge step up to the Barossa- this is the reason they are going, to have a crack and challenge themselves while they're still young and capable to have a go. Loosing the big fish tag won't bother them at all.
As for the commitment involved I think that will be the easiest thing out of the challenge for these lads to handle. All 3 of them thrive on the hard work- Paynee and Troy have both experienced the work required at other clubs and Samsons transformation over the last few years confirms his up to the physical challenge.
Agree will be interesting to see how these lads fit in especially at Tanunda which from reports will be a strong unit. I could see Paynee playing most of the season in the A's Troy the same if his knee is rite - which it wasn't last year but Sambo I think would struggle for an AGrade spot at all but a very handy b grader.
Overall I think it's a credit to them for giving it a go even if it is leaving BSR in a hard spot. Would be easy for them to hang around being the big fish in a small pond maybe win a couple medals - takes more to challenge your self and have a go!

It's now official- BSR, will not be putting a team on the park in 2015. Due to huge player losses the club feels it's not viable to hit the park.
Hopefully back in 2016 but if not proud of the fact we went out as a competitive side after 3 grand finals and a prelim!

The Roos have signed a gun CHF from the KNTFL. and in talks with a few other players. I expect them to be the team to beat in 2015 barring to many injuries of course.
