Caffe Primo at Seaford

After waiting 45 minutes the young girl came and apologized for the delay and asked if we would like another round of drinks ,which we accepted.

25 minutes later same girl apologized again but this time brought 2 garlic breads and another round of drinks, 15 min later meals arrived with my mixed grill having half a cheese kranksy . The couple next to us who where drinking reds would not except another round as they where driving and the lass that apologized to our table gave a $40 voucher . when we all got up to leave the table next to ours still had not received their meal.

Went to The Seaton last night and had a Filet Mignon that's as good as any that I have had. ( It's quite often my eat out order of choice ). Spot on.

$27 with the salad bar, can't complain at all.

Went to the Sailmaster last night.

$14.90 Surf and Turf, including salad bar.

They didn't have Sailor Jerrys, which knocked a brownie point off, but still good value.

Yep, that would see the implementation of a "No returns" policy for me.

Having said that, Primo's typically aren't that great anywhere you go IMO.

The Seaton also had $13 roast night last night.

Lamb AND pork with roast spuds, pumpkin and the salad bar for $13.

The chef doing the carving asked pretty much every patron "Is that enough?" when he cut the meat and plated it, if they asked for more, he gave them more.

Would have been 25+ seniors in there and they all took advantage of the offer, they also took advantage of the "doggy bags" if they didn't finish the upsized meal. Good on them I reakonthe senior and the pub for letting them. Pubs happily take your gold coins out of your pocket and the odd one who gives a bit back is ok in my book.

that is good to hear, but I thought that 'doggy bags' were outlawed due to OHS.

I must venture down there to check out my old stomping ground

My wife's elderly aunty takes alfoil with her to wrap up leftovers and takes extra bread rolls from the salad bar and makes up rolls for their lunch.

Had our Xmas show at the Gallery on Waymouth yesterday. With everything being free it increases the chances of a good revue but the food was excellent. Superb steak, delightful prawn entree and by the time dessert rolled around I was on my 12th beer and couldn't afford the eating time. At a guess I'd say it would normally be pretty pricey.

We went to British India last night for our Christmas show. Been there a few times before, and once again it was excellent. I think we all had the $35 banquet which was plenty of food.

Bread & Bone.

Sweet baby Jesus of Nazareth. Had a succulent double cheeseburger, juicy onion rings and the tastiest fried chicken I can even remember and washed it down with an IPA. Gotta go back there asap.

The Aviary

A favourite dessert kitchen of mine, hadn't been for a while and the menu has changed a bit, but had the best sundae in ages (Whirled Piece - honeycomb and brownie).

Was a good night out for my belly last night.

Bread & Bone is on the hipster-riddled Peel St.

The Aviary is on The Parade.

Can't believe how different Peel street is.

My brothers used to work at Quickflix on there, not that you would know it was even there. The whole thoroughfare was empty doors, the comic shop and map shop ... that's almost it. Now it is totally different - even the plain white door that was QFX is now a tapas bar or something similar.
I love 'Food and Stuff'. It's where I buy all of my food. And most of my stuff.
