Turn it up. The whole of Australia wanted him to play & we all knew the risks.

Showed fantastic leadership through out this whole sad situation & is a massive presence to the team when the team needs it most.

Disagree with your first point. Id rather pick someone who his fit rather than pick someone on emotional circumstances. What if he can't bat again for the next month? What good what that be?

Second point is irrelevant to be fit for selection.

What if he didn't play & we crumbled to 6/60 at lunch without his presence?

I think Clarke will be unlikely to play again this summer

AU 2/238 [50 TEA]
Warner 136*[144] does not look like getting out
East Coast Smith 12*[19]

Indian selectors might be on the back foot ?
Going in with 4 front line bowlers, on a 3-4 day road was always and is a problem
The 4 man attacks are OK in India where they play 2 spinners who bowl a lot of overs
But to play 3 quicks and a rookie leggie on King William Road is simply a poor formula

Shouldn't have risked Clarke. Should have played ferguson. Shaun has made too many test ducks for mine.

Ferguson is in a line behind: Burns, S Marsh, Doolan

Ferguson, possibly on a line level with Bailey, White, and Cowan whose closing on a ton.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Warner gone for a magnificent 145.

M. Marsh to the crease, dont rate this guy at all, especially against spin

Well batted Warner!

Honored our little champ in the best possible way!

Not sure if it's because of the whole Phil Hughes tragedy but this has been the most lacklustre day 1 of an Australian test series in my living memory!

Watching on tv the Adelaide test always seems to lack that atmosphere that the GABBA, MCG, SCG seem to provide, though it's the best test to be at live

Not sure how a run a ball 140 is lacklustre!

Though I do agree the atmosphere is a little down in usual

I think the run rate is what makes it lacklustre, it's such a non contest between bat and ball. I wanna see the ball nip around abit and some life in the pitch

Abit like the whole 0-0 argument, more runs doesn't equal more entertainment imho

If he breaks down during the test there will be hell to pay

It's a fine line he's walking.Get out there for his mate, for his team mates and his country. The pressure would be enormous.

Blow out his hamstring and miss the summer and maybe a World Cup on home soil.

This is what he's has weighed up, especially if in his own mind he doesn't quite feel 100%.For mine.....it needed to be a cautious approach with the work load he has ahead of him.

I was talking to a mate the other night and I've got a gut feel that a World Cup win might see him walk away from the game with his back related issues.Anyone who has a back problem knows that age does nothing for back injuries.

There has been virtually no pressure all day. Didn't seem that long ago that Warner got out and now I look at the scoreboard and marsh is on 21 and they have put on 40

I love channel 9 broadcast but my biggest gripe is that when they show the days wickets I like to watch them as it was shown on nine, not this stupid ball tracker crap
