I think MJ is trying to make up for his bowling. He's batting very good atm. What's the world coming to if our tail ender makes more runs than most of our batsman's?? But its not like he hasnt done it before.

It happened quite often last summer - the tailenders saving our innings.

He has a very unique batting style but it works for him. Can't see too many weaknesses about him and he looks to hit the ball 9/10 in the sweet spot.
Are we all witnessing the start of something very special here?

Form with that bat is of real concern, cant fault him behind the stumps though at the minute

Taking a lot of dismissals which is good but his glovework is ordinary. That one rare ball by Lyon over the wicket :) Haddin didn't get a stitch on and he let go a few byes in that crucial last day in Adelaide. Doesn't stack up with Marsh and Healy and I reckon he's not going all that well tbh.

The byes he let through in Adelaide were miles away from him though. And he's way better than Healy IMO.

No way. Healy appealed and went for the ball at the same time and Haddin sometimes doesn't. Sitting there looking at the stumps in shock at how the ball missed and meanwhile the ball is going past him. He's not fit to pack Healy's kit.

I think they both lick balls, Healy was the better gloveman but a cheat and I've never been impressed by the way either of them present themselves on the field.

Healy was an absolute belter of a keeper. Played hard, under what was asked of him by his captains. We needed his grit and his captains would've loved him for it. Haddin only comes close to Healy because they share the same letter at the start of their surname.

Sharma has Sledged Johnson a fair bit when he has been out there. He asked Johnson how many wickets did he take on this deck........then all hell broke loose.

But while Johnson is bowling a bit flat, do you really want to fire him up and get the best out of him?

Judging by Rodney Marsh's interview a couple of weeks ago I think it's an open field. It will come down to whoever is performing at that point of time.

Although we've dropped off from our world domination, I like the fact that form is playing a part in team selections.

Hartley, Ludeman or my man Nevill.
They will go with that spud Wade though, shocking glovesman but can bat ok.

I seriously really hope Johnson gets his ton. He deserves it after sticking in there and helping Australia and Smith out.

What type of wicket keeper would you prefer? One who is good with the gloves and bats at no 7. Or one that is average with the gloves and can bat? Its extremely rare to find a wicket keeper that can do both.
What's your opinion on Adam Gilchrist?
