The club would also like to announce Shanes right hand man for 2015 will be playing assistant coach Tom Roberts. Tom has recently returned from country victoria where he played high level country footy. Tom has a great footy background and we are lucky to have him on board.

It would be a good idea to say a massive thankyou to outgoing coach, Scott Weekley. A club legend, good mate and a favourite amongst the playing group, Scott held the club together in perhaps our most difficult year in living memory. I for one will have Scott’s coaching in 2014 high in my thoughts as amongst the more dignified and important efforts in my short time at the Mitchell Park Football Club.

I thought he mentioned the other day that he was coaching Cove's Under 18s?

Cove now advertising for u/18's coach... That should answer your question

I realise that the Div 7 programme is still up in the air at the minute, but Mitchell Park has a great new lighting set up and we are keen to have a game under lights on a Friday Night in the first 4 rounds. If anyone has interest please PM me and we will see if we can put it together with the leagues blessing.

To answer your previous question marbles, we have had 20 odd training on both pre-season runs with 5 or 6 watching who will play but it's a bit early days for them. We also have a few cricketers who are also playing but our teams will play finals so they'll come out in due time. We've recruited some really handy players who wil be good at this level. We'll be no world beaters but we are confident we have a good mix to be competitive in 2015. Bring it on. :)

Wasn't he at Aldinga this year when they were being flogged, before Shane Crawford & the Footy Show saved them.

Yep, the same coach that was on the front page of the advertiser with the headline 'Is this the worst coach in Australia?'
