Lyon has a better average and S/R than Doherty at ODI level so that's why I pick him over X.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

I like that XI; only thing is it would mean that Watto would have to bowl ten overs.

Not really if you make Smith bowl some and if Clarke is fit then he can roll his arm over. If Clarke can't bowl off spin for 5 overs then don't pick him.

Warner and Smith both bowl leggies with Dave also bowling medium

Clarke and Finch both bowl spin

Probably only need one of those 4 to pitch in with 3 or 4 overs a game.

Wato ten overs a game does sound like an injury waiting to happen

Reckon we play an extra bowler than that lineup. Either marsh or maxwell will play at 6 and either Clarke or Bailey misses out.

Yep, Marsh in Clarke out.
Dont think Clarke is a walk up start for ODI's anymore

If Clarke is fit he's first chosen. Needs to be fit however and experience wins World Cups.

Forgot about Maxwell, deffinetly in the squad but not so sure he's first picked in the starting 11 atm on form. Maybe Pattinson misses due to lack of match practice.
Agreed on Harris, still might be good to play him 2-3 of the harder games.

No to Lyon and no to Harris. Harris is on his last legs and we need him for the Ashes. We don't want Lyon' s newly won confidence being eroded in hit and giggle cricket either. Doh is fine for the one dayers but Zampa could be worth a look also.

Agree with what your saying but picked it based on what I think the selectors will do

Also being a home tournament with the pressure to win I doubt there will be a lot if any experimenting/unproven players selected

Not sure about Paine dunk and Christian but I don't mind it.

Ahmed is an Australian citizen, he has played a t20 international and a few one dayers.

Not sure why he wasn't given more of a go tbh
