Wait - let's do away with D7 but we'll still have a D8

Isn't there a C-Grade Super League instead?

AV
TTG
Mod
ROCS
Adel Uni
Houghton
Henley

with maybe 1 or 2 more team to be decided.

Is Mitchell Park one of these? What's going on there?

Add Mitchell Park, Flinders Uni and North pines and there's your div 7.

As close as I can get on relegation and promotion. :D

Angle Vale
Mitchell Park
Flinders Uni
Adelaide Uni
Houghton Districts
North Pines
Modbury
Henley
Tea Tree Gully
Rostrevor

Obviously a few C grade clubs have nominated to push up but if this is Div 7 then what a fantastic comp.

Be great for us to renew our association with TTG and hopefully we get a 2012 GF replay on Anzac Day.

I'm thinking they'll put TTG a little closer to home on Anzac Day ;)

Indeed. A Modbury/TTG quadruple header on ANZAC day would be massive.

Never ceases to amaze me how much people (particularly those North of the Poverty Line - Grand Junction Road) on this forum underrate the Southern League.

We've struggled to get near the bottom sides of the SFL in trials when we've had strong sides, let alone 6 months after the end of our worst year in history.

It aint the same f ballpark, it ain't the same league, it ain't even the same f sport.....

Morrell, they always have and always will. I doubt even the highest paying div 7 club would have a payroll a third of the bottom SFL Club. Now that doesn't mean they always spend their money wisely Nor does it guarantee quality, but .".....
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Mitchell Park could go out with 40 players and still be flogged by 20 goals

Southern League top 6 is as good as any league outside div 1 in SA. Drops away but most sides outside the top 8 would hold their own in div 4. 10-15 years ago imho it was the best comp in SA outside div 1 with 2 divisions.

I'm guessing "all" the above is just an opinion because unless the top 6 from down south play off against the top 6 (other than Div 1) from SAAFL how would you know?..............
