I would imagine they know their set break even $ amount and know X amounts of tickets is the break even amount.

The line-up doesn't appear as expensive as what it would have cost Kadina so I doubt they carry as much risk, although still risk all the same.

That's it. So, 500 would be a good result in my mind but I'm not sure if that's under par or not.

500 would be a decent turnout of people for sure. Hopefully they get this and that it is above the breakeven point.
Good thing for the donated drinks too. Would help heaps.

Let's just hope what happened to kadina happens to hamley because I don't think hamley have as much money to back themselves up like kadina do. Would be sad to loose a club from our league if it goes pear shape! Fingers crossed for them

Rock the Bridge has been cancelled. Brave call.

Forecast of 41 for Saturday probably wasn't ideal either.

Very brave call.
There will still be big costs involved with doing that, even though it hasn't gone ahead.
Was this being organised by the footy club?

Plenty of movements on the clearances page involving Hummocks, United and Hamley (no clearances put in yet for Stribling, Dowdell and co.). Still haven't heard a lot on the ins and outs involving the other clubs, but I guess that's probably a good thing for them all as they'll be fielding reasonably settled sides? Has anyone got any news surrounding player movements not already on the clearances page?

One big question is how United go with getting Jake Birchmore from Mallala.

Lodged the clearance for Matt, wondering if they've gone after the younger sibling or not.

I assume Ware, Thompson x2 and Holm are all 3pts, Birchmore would be the final link in the chain?

I take it all 3 Ranaldo's from Virginia are colts?
Looks like South Gawler loading up on more colts, heard they have pinched atleast 1 senior from Hamley aswell and looking at clearances there is a few heading over to the Barossa

Had heard that they had only pre sold around 40 tickets. Decision made to cancel now will at least save them some money. Unfortunately will still lose around $35,000 from what Im hearing. That is a terrible result for any football club

Don't think anything to do with weather. if anything 41 is good sell more drinks.

more to do with sales of tickets. gonna be a lot of funraising to make up for it.

Big shame that didn't work out for hamley tho. But seriously was it ever gonna work??????

Would love to be able to tell you but I'm not very savvy to the wheelings and dealings of the footy club. Onsong would have a lot more clue then I would.
Aside from the obvious big loss of Lachy Michael and talk of the return of Whisky Walker (not happening as far as I'm aware) I can't tell you much
