That's because he know's i'm right. Anyone with half a brain would understand the importance of safety when your undertaking a task such as this. It's not like he cut a cut on the leg, he got smacked in the head and is now in the ICU and more then likely will never play footy again.

Ok now im off ya!

I'm confused...are you now saying that the cause of Reilly's injury is stupid? It was a ground ball drill...what else are they supposed to do?

As for the sled incident with VB, I would highly doubt any other club is using them differently to the Crows.

Im saying the sled incident was stupid because they shouldn't be near each other while using them. Doesn't matter if other clubs use them unsafely as well.

Kickinit apparently is saying the sled incident is stupid because it hit Reilly in the head, hence why I am now distancing myself from him.

I thought you were saying the incident to reilly was caused by the sled.

Van Berlos injury last year was the sled.

My 22
Brown Hartigan Cheney
Henderson Talia Jeansch
McKay Dangerfield Smith
Lynch Jenkins Douglas
Betts Walker Thompson
Jacobs Sloane B Crouch
Int: Van Berlo, Kerridge, M Crouch, Grigg

I think Smith will play up the ground with Henderson back. not sure if he will go through the midfield of via a wing

Thompson will spend some more time in the FWD line, as pointed out he gets hurt on the defensive running but is a capable goal kicker and still wins plenty of clearances.

M Crouch has had an interupted preseason, not sure if he gets a game round 1.
I also think Grigg plays simply because he is left footed. Walshy loves his left footers.

True about M Crouch, be interesting to see how CAmeron goes after another pre season and a few games under his belt.

I cant see Lyons anywhere near our best 22, he is a plodder and we already have plenty of them in the side. Hence also why i see Smith playing through the midfield adding some pace

I think in the NAB cup, we will see:
Pods trialled across HB
Lynch on a wing
Lowden played alongside Walker and Jenkins
If Hartigan doesnt improve his disposal I can see Lever getting a mid season call up.

Pods is too slow to play across HB.

I still think he could play on the Big FWD and compete pace wise comfortably - all depends on Hartigans development really. Also would you rather a bloke get hit up on a lead or get outmuscled in a one on one ala Cheney when playing on a key FWD?... catch 22 :D

Key defensive post behind Talia is the worry, as you have duly noted.

Talia is CHB, Hartigan FB and Cheney the third tall. The problem is as the third tall you need to either be third man up, or create run and carry, I'm not sure Cheney offers much of either. Plus, Hawthorn wouldn't be giving anything good away.

So, so much rides on Hartigan starting well this year. Shaw is a while off, yes? If Hartigan can be solid early it might shape Adelaides year.

Pods, for mine, is now purely back up for Walker and Jenkins. Lynch will play high-half forward / midfield once the ball is out of the centre square.

Yep all valid points Boon, I think in Cheney we are wanting that dour competative role from him which I think is his game (when not matched up on the big key FWD). Hopefully Henderson can provide us with some run and carry this year along with Jeansch/Smith of HB.

Im my opinion I don't think he can. But thats my opinion.

I think this season you should look at starting B.Crouch on the ball with Thompson starting up forward.

certainly agree about crouch (both of them really)

reckon those lads, grigg, VB will all rotate through the midfield more than thommo, who will still go through there but will play as that smaller marking forward a bit like a monfries or something.
