Cooper and Ross gone within a few balls of each other

Gone from 4/303 to 6/303

all jokes aside its because he is like me - a fat unfit bastard and therefore runs out of puff ffs!

Made the stand a few years ago we wouldn't put up with it while he was putting up anything other than above average performances then threw that away. Lost Klinger to bring him back and now Botha. Incidently would have thought Botha striding out at 7 or 8 would have been handy. I do understand if he won't be there then get time into Zampa as a bowler and Head as a captain but I think the price we've paid for Cosgrove is just not worth it when you take everything into account.

My take on the Cosgrove overseas situation is he signed for SA before even considering his English Passport deal. He then took that deal then informing SACA of his need to be the 'overseas' player. Botha doesn't sees he's forced out weather he wanted to continue or not as he is out of contract.

Season 2014/15 is a complete shambles!

On a brighter note, good to see Tom Cooper post a decent score. Hopefully he continues to build on that for everything he's been through the last 3 months.

Trent Lawford just hit a six on the roof next to my office. That's enough work for me. Hopefully he is going to unleash.

7/457 at lunch

Zampa 54* (28)
Lawford 71* (96)

Will Trav let Shrek have a crack at a ton? Good hitting from Zorba too

Reckon Trav will give him 3-5 overs, that should be plenty for the big fell a :D 500 in a day and a half is good going, and puts us in a good spot. The worry is the fragile bowling attack, that on the bay could go the distance

When Richardson returns I wouldn't be adverse to Lawford being moved up to 7 with Mennie 8, Richardson 9 and Zampa 10.

Gives you plenty of depth/talent in your mid/lower order batting with some much needed depth in the bowling

Im not sure Lawford is the answer to our alround issue (medium pacer/midde-lower order bat). He will come off occassionally but against the top sides will struggle. Ideally we have Ludeman batting 7 with a genuine allrounder at 6

Cam Valente is the genuine all rounder. However, been very quiet of late at both club and 2nd XI level despite a heavy workload bowling wise.
