So,

A. Henley play a strong D Grade of experienced players, win flag, have fun. Blokes retire and move on after success.

Ergo

B. D7 A grade clubs playing C grade clubs is a virus.

The leap of logic to get from A. to B. is astonishing.

Morell the now official fact that every 4 team club to have ever entered Division 7 has now officially lost their D-Grade as a result

Smosh after one season is running back to div 8 asap

Uni and Modbury have 5 teams minimum

It might not be a virus, but its a massive sink hole as Broadview, TTG, Flinders Park Sacred Heart and now Henley have all now been depleted in the past 2 years.

Participation rates going up or down? do the maths

Smosh are quickly running back to div 8 asap with their tail between legs to save themselves

How many C or D grades not involved in D7 have been lost in the last 24 months?

Well seems like every other 4 team club whos never been near div 7 is flourishing as mentioned by earlier posters
And salisbury shut their Ds down for other reasons not related to numbers as mentioned by salisbury poster himself

U chuck your 4 team club into div 7 then your club will have a participation rate virus on your hands and 25% of your club players are eventually gonna wanna say bye byes

Rocs you still keen for div 7?

Hope Valley have been in Div 7 ;)

And there in a heartbeat goes marbles' brilliant idea of a super C/D Grade competition, which right from the get go was a dead set stupid ******* idea, as the whole world knows, but marbles.

Now that Henley haven't got the fortitude to field a genuine D Grade side for the reason that D7 Res is there for - maybe the competition can get some credibility in that grade.

Suck shit marbles & Henley - very few people on here will give a toss about your dilemma - your club made their own bed at the expense of other genuine efforts - now you can go root yourselves.

He's just having a massive vent cos he's still bitter about how we beat his side in the 2013 semi final and prevented his ego from hanging a mighty premiership medal round his neck like his fellow agraders did that night when he sat in a corner all night crying whilst his agraders partied like there was no tomorrow

So this is like revenge for a simpleton who probably spends his life working on a forklift at wingfield dump all day, but i tell u what buddy, our dgrade might just be the latest victim of the leagues poorly designed structure, but our boys still have the 2013 div 7r premiership medals around their necks and theyll still be glowing golden for next 50 years

And hey i'll send u a photo of one asap.

Follow the Hills, but do like reading the ammos on a regular basis. Wondering have the ammos ever thought of changing the traditional 10 team set up? Thinking along the lines of normal A&B's to Div 6 or 7 depending on the numbers. For C&D clubs, I think you have 14 put them in one div but divide them into say 7 each North and South. Have the North play each other twice and 6 of the South teams once and vice versa. 18 minor round then, final four for both North and South then the 2 winners play off in the G/F. Would make a level playing field (unless there is a massive difference between Div 7 and 8, you people would know better. If so then forget it) and cut down travel as well. Not trying to tell you how to run your comp just throwing out a different idea. The Hills League started in a similar way with the bigger clubs in a Central zone and the smaller clubs in either the Northern or Southern zone.

My weekend mail has Phil Dudley jumping ship to Angle Vale.

Must be flush with coin out there with Varcoe on $600 a game.

My new mail now says that Henley are putting in a last ditch effort to get a D grade but have until Friday for final notification as to whether they're pulling out or not.

Just to think, four to five players could be the difference between a year free of super c's rants and another year of drull, droll and dunce posts
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Yes we have 4 cricket teams who are all sitting top 2 and will be involved in finals right thru March. There's about 7 or 8 of them signed to play footy and we stay in touch as both footy and cricket train the same nights on different areas of the ground. Both coaches have a good rapport and it's working well. If they get some success in the finals maybe we can get a few more next year as a couple of them committed late last year to the footy clubs they played for and play at a good level.

I'm very confident that Henley will get the numbers required for four sides this year.

The relationship between Angle Vale's cricket and footy is non-existent............unless things have changed in the past year or so.
