Must be some fascinating reading....

"After 30 years of sandbagging div7r flags and regularly making div 7 GF's, div 7 has ruined my club, the league and set back the AFL 40 years which will soon be taken over by soccer, rugby, gailic footbal and table tennis"
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

What we all need to get through our heads is that the club delegates enforce the rules, the League just has to enforce them. So if clubs have been 'lost' or decimated then maybe you should ensure your club delegate puts your clubs perspective forward at meetings. Sorry but we are all the masters of our own destiny. Yes MP included, dumb decisions and not enough ground crew working on a solution. Hopefully we have put processes in place to secure our future. Regardless of the division we are in.

Salisbury West got the jump on North Pines tonight, but the latter pegged the lead back and only went down by a couple of goals in what was a pretty clean and fluent game of footy.

North Pines look way too strong for D7R and Salisbury West look like they'll go well in D7.

They will both go very well in there grades. I think the comp is going to be very one sided with sals west being the stand out. I'm sure they have lost some players but will still be very strong.

What are people's thoughts on making clubs swallow there own medicine and make them stay in diva where they should be??

There's no way North Pines can remain in D7R, which means placing them in D7. Now, let's assume Wingfield meet affiliation requirements as well, this leaves D7/D7R looking something like this:

Image

D7 looks pretty good, evens out the draw, we all play each other twice. D7R also has an even draw but it means only playing 12 minor rounds for the year and a lot of byes. Can we accept this or do we have to somehow fill the D7R byes?

Or, can North Pines actually get two teams up? If they can, do you put Salisbury West side in the vacant D6 bye leaving D7 with 8 teams, some of whom play each other three times in a bye-less (June long weekend withstanding) fixture.

If they do then it's back to Div 3. Otherwise it sets a very dangerous precedent. ;)

too little too late for me...

# if North pines are calling for other players from other clubs to be fill ins, they might have looked impressive with J Lane up front but maybe its just pulled the wool over peoples eyes

# wingfield from my last visit to clearances havent had a single clearance listed, and theyre claiming to have 2 teams?

# making a 7 team Div 7r with 12 games now possibly 3 byes a week, is not what players who pay money to play really want from their money, and the likes of magoo morell would be seething at the idea of possibly a month off at a time throughout the season

# shifting salisbury west back up, IF they have 2 sides is only gonna mess with other div fixtures and then destroy social event plans already made by higher clubs

Wouldn't Salisbury West just slot back into a higher div where there is a bye. I wouldn't think clubs would plan social events where they had a bye so shouldn't mess any plans already made.

technically it was TTG and its C grade in 2013 with the games that were played but "never happened" and the drop from div 6, on promotion, to div 8 after the first 2 rounds..

Is the priority to be a football club or a social club?

If a club has a bye then their oval should be available. Do many clubs share ovals or are you just talking about clubs with multiple teams.

Yeah so in div 3 the bye goes to golden grove, phos, Pembroke & athelstone first four rounds for example

If Salisbury west get put back in who gets the home game and then where does gg phos athelstones cgrade play on the same day and will it mean changes to the div 8 div c1 fixtures hav to be made to accommodate sals back in div 3

Butterfly effect
