batmanbegins wrote:How good was Riaz last night was great watching that, reminiscent of Johnson last year in the ashes! If only Riaz had some fielders that could catch he might have been able to win that for them as im not sure maxwell and co in the middle order would of been able to see of bowling like that. When Pakis get Irfan, Junaid Khan and young Amir back from his ban that's one hell of a fast bowling line up to go with Riaz.

Also hats off to Watto and smith, I thought Smith was a class above and the one that just looked really good against Riaz all the way through but Watson showed a lot of guts and batted beautifuly in the end.

I thought it was awesome (being a former left arm opening bowler), so many people around me at the game and on social media were sticking it to Riaz about his sportsmanship, I thought it was fine, it was a final, he was playing on pure adrenaline and giving his all.
They had a plan, he executed it to a tee, the Aussies were intimidated and earnt every run during that spell, it's no different to what we often do.
Kudo's to Watto, that innings tops any tons that he's made in my eyes, very gritty and determined to not fail, he got a chance and then made the most of it.
As for Brad Haddin, my kids often ask me what I don't like him, on Friday night I was able to say that is exactly why I don't, he's Ian Healy re-incarnated, it doesn't help I guess when we get spoilt by having an Adam Gilchrist do the job in between cheats.
