Only a week before this, Dennis, the Walkies delegate, was bragging at the Delegates meeting about how their players never get reported

Dennis should've kept his mouth shut and not jinxed us #-o . Mind you FC, we have had about 3 players reported in the last 5-6 years which is pretty good.

The league have decided that suspensions need to be longer and we're the first to feel the affects of it.

Wouldn't call it hubristic, he's not that type...he just happened to mention it as we were discussing tribunal games system at the time.

Can you park your car around the oval to watch or do you need to park, walk there and take a chair and esky in with you?

I know this is getting a bit old fashioned, but you could choose to support the home club's bar

Sorry, I assumed that being just a trial game that the bar and canteen wouldn't be open!
Thanks to the one person who actually answered my question!!!

That's a pretty ridiculous assumption?

I've never been to a trial game without a bar and canteen. Seems to defeat the purpose really

If you read my original post I have never been to or seen Broadviews facilities, so how am I Meant to know if they even have a bar for starters!
And I have played in plenty of country trial games where they don't have any facilities open except the change room and the toilets, so settle the **** down!

Everyone who saw this incident I feel would be a little shocked to see the player got 6 weeks down to 4 for good behaviour for this!
It was a punch to the stomach. . . Yes uncalled for most likely, but none the less the player who was punched got up relatively quickly and continued playing. If this is the type of penalties the league will be dishing out this year, I have a feeling some life suspensions may be handed out!

Good.

People who think it is appropriate to punch opponents shouldn't be in our league.

According to the Andrew Jarman rumour mill, Leon Davis was a done deal for us at $1500/game last year too.
Wonder what figure he put out there that we have apparently signed him for?

haha, I remember that - I didn't even hear Jars mention it on the way home from work today either.

Don't deny that Gaza wouldn't become his new home if he decided to play footy this year though.

no offence to Gaza or any SAAFL club but I sort of hope he does choose to stick out at the highest level possible.

Just cos he's good at it.
