Well done to the Adelaide Uni lads today. You always know you are going to get with them. Good standard game and played in really good spirit. We ran with them for 3 quarters but their class showed out in the end and we went down by around 7 goals.

Thought SPOSFC were a bit unlucky. Had no bench by half time and I think they finished the game with only 17.

no bench by quarter time! Mark Robb played out the game with a bung ankle because there was no one to replace him.

Ended up with 6 snags was great to finally don the Raider guernsey today.

I reckon St Pauls will be good they just need a few game to gel together and when they did get on top a little bit in the second they didnt convert there shots.

Their A grade way to strong in the guts and our guys couldn't match them. First 1.5 qtrs were pretty tight, cricket scores in the 3rd and 4th. Didn't help our leading goal kicker the last few years broke his leg in the 2nd. In the magoos I'd say A/V will be a bit worried about their depth if they pick up some injuries mid season, big drop off.

As for us, yep lots to work on. As is normal for us lots of new players so still learning who can do what. Plenty of improvement to come.

Hearing one of the SPOSFC lads copped a depressed skull fracture and needs surgery. Eep.

Tough start to the year for SPOSFC, doesn't get any easier with them travelling to AV this week and already having a bad run with injuries.

Not the easiest start to the year for them game wise, especially copping so many injuries early...

Middle of April and North Pines oval still hasn't had the cricket pitch covered? Makes life easier for us but bit weird.
