The Lions have had a terrible run with injury in recent seasons.

Great to see Brisbane wearing the Fitzroy jumpers on the weekend.

Hopefully that becomes a permanent fixture whenever they play in Melbourne.

It's brilliant to see the Fitzroy Lion back on the jumpers again.

Yes I know that but this season is the first time in a few years that the Fitzroy Lion is back on the Brisbane guernseys since they brought in the Paddlepop Lion as their corporate logo.

I say the same thing about the Swans guernseys as well that I'd like to see the old South jumpers whenever we play in Melbourne.

Yeah the old lion looks much better. I'd like to see them use the bears guernsey they had last year at least once a season. Maybe even as our clash guernsey

Brisbane AFL coach Justin Leppitsch was reportedly involved in a fiery physical incident with a reserves player.

Fairfax reports that Leppitsch allegedly grabbed Zac O'Brien by the throat after the Lions rookie disrespected reserves coach Shane Woewodin at halftime of last weekend's NEAFL match.

It is claimed O'Brien earned Leppitsch's ire when he failed to come off the ground as instructed and later swore at Woewodin.

The report said when O'Brien was hauled in for a "please explain" the young midfielder stood on tiered seating, prompting Leppitsch to grab him and pull him off a step while accusing him of attempting to stand over the coach.

The club was expected to issue a statement on the incident on Tuesday afternoon.

Big turnaround in effort in the past two games.
Gotta keep it going now.
If we lose to Bombers I won't care, so long as we're competitive and the effort is there.

Big chance to beat Essendon IMO.

Yep, their pace is a huge concern as is any side who kicks over 10-12 goals. Brisbane should almost start favourites
