4 of the 5 grades to Flaggies.

Am I right in saying the vikings never lost to the falcons in Dent's reign? Some good players not selected in the Vikings A-grade squad yesterday.

Have the Wineflies got better or have Cove dropped off the pace that much, only kicked 1 goal in the B -grade as well.

Bit of both from what I saw yesterday. Reynella will be top 2. Cove were quite small out there. The new ruckman Ellison was great!

I didn't even think Ellison was their new ruck!
I think you will find it's the other Mcentee.
But good to see another basketballer turn footballer doing well! :D
The only time i've ever been wrong...was when I thought I was wrong!!!

Full credit to Flaggys Dutchy - they looked good on their home deck and like they had been playing together for years. New recruits seamlessly fitting into their team. Vikings however obviously going to take longer getting used to new coach and several changes in team.
Not sure what you mean by mosquito fleet?

Just seemed to me they had a lot of smallish, but quick players. Different look than what Ive seen in previous years.

Any reason why Valleys didn't wear their away/clash jumper?

Please explain ?

Just meant that many people said Flagstaff had recruited really well and expected they will improve significantly on last year. Early evidence suggests this might be the case. They played a good brand of footy, well coached and drilled and fitness levels were good on a warm day. /quote]

Interesting comment about fitness given that we were down to one on the bench from mid way through the first quarter so rotations were well down. One injury "in the game" and one well off the ball when an errant elbow took out Raitt. Very poor form from a HV player who is supposedly well respected.

Agree interesting comment about fitness level?

Tips for this week -

Christies v Morphett Vale - Christies have a few tough weeks Emus, Vikings, Towns and Shoes could easily be 0-5. Emus by 40pts
Brighton v Porties - reckon the Bombers will go close here. Bombers by 8pts.
Shoes v towns - will get a better picture here where the townies fit this season. Shoes by 25pts.
Lions v Rams - Lions a different team at home. Slattery doing a shoulder is a big loss for the Rams but should win. Rams by 20pts.
Reynella v Sharks - McIntee with another 10. Wineflies by 160pts.
Vikings v Cove - Vikings by plenty and rebound quickly. Vikings by 100pts.
Falcons v Hawks - Falcons by plenty the hawks have dropped off the pace. Falcons by 80pts.

Well off the ball? Dont think so... and more like hip and shoulder than elbow
I happened to see the incident and if it was as bad as you and some of the flagstaff crowd suggested (who were on the other side of the ground) how come the flaggies players didnt ark up? Heard later player wasnt wearing a mouthguard which is pretty stupid

Ah was 15-20 metres off the play from where i saw it

Because it was so far off the ball? How are you meant to go and "get revenge" when you have no idea what happened as you were watching the ball

But surely everyone saw it happening, similar things happen to all players who leave Valleys to go to the Hill (from recent memory - Kumnick, Mitchell, Renfrey) all had similar (all not as bad) treatment given to them after they left. Watch this week to see how many elbows/hits behind the play hit Anton and Perrotta, my guess is 0 (as it should be)

Yeah mouth guard or not the Valleys players actions are also pretty low and stupid

Interesting note re fitness, it also was probably two of our top 10 players on the day that went down

The ball was out of the area when it happened but to me it just seemed a bit late and the HV player defintely jumped up into Raitt but he had his back to me so I didnt see the contact.

On what basis?

On the basis that they won't clear him. He wants to play at reynella with his brother. They say he's contracted to them. Could be messy this one.

If he's contracted you are stuck. Request proof.
