Of course, Hogg Division IV is as high as the new Hogg coachces go and already the new coaches look to be the ones to beat for this league. Coaches in bold purple are teams with fully selected squads that can't be promoted. Coaches in bold blue are coaches that have entered but not yet selected their squads. Teams in bold are teams eligible for promotion who have entered and selected their squad.

Interesting to note that the bottom three teams have yet to join. They could be no shows this season so there could be a few top sides from Divvy V getting the nod to join this group. If you are a Divvy IV regular, that makes it tougher for you to get out of this division. 5 coaches to go.

As expected, Wadey's Warriors have shot out of the blocks after belting The Hotshots in the first round. Woolly had a good opening round as they had the Red Cans by the short and curlies as the balls racked up a league hight 2192. Summer of George and the Geckoes played out a bewdy and I reckon those two sides will be right amongst it when promotions are being handed out at the end of the year.

After writing off the PowerFailure the other week, they flicked the switch and knocked off Chelsea who would be disappointed about opening the season with a loss to the 18th ranked seed. However, the Hollands, Big bangers, Hotshots and even the victorious HereComeTheSuns are all better placed to bottom out if this week's scores are anything to go by.

After only two rounds this ladder already has a settled look about it. Wadey's Warriors look to be a major threat and this week they did a number on Loose Husseys who is finding the step up a grade a little tougher. Woolballs and Summer of George were two teams that were quite successful in Divvy V this year and this league is a very similar beast to that one so I'd expect both sides to continue to do well.

As a resident Div IV team, DA HEAT underperformed in the first round but this week they topped the scoring which was bad luck for Robsquad who are scoring better than they ever did as Sturt B Team. Rob a bit unlucky to catch the youngster on a 'hot week'. Another renamed team, KnuckeysKillers (used to be hairy Hobbits) enjoyed a nice percentage booster over The Hotshots who are in all sorts bother in the early weeks of the season. The Venomous Geckoes have failed to flatter in their Hogg return and they are stuck in the relegation zone along with the Red Cans, the Roosters and the Hotshots.

The Cage was a bit rusty this weekend as his putrid 1681 caused him to suffer his loss for the season and first loss in the Hogg for sometime. Seventh ranked Power Failure could consider themselves lucky with the win though as they weren't too much better with an equally rank 1695. League leaders Wadeys Warriors and their shadows, Summer of George and the Woollballs certainly didn't have any issues as they carded solid scores and percentage building wins to remain unbeaten.

A big winner from the results of this round was DA HEAT who had a narrow win over the big bangers and managed to climb to 6th spot to make themselves a smokey for a top four spot. Several teams managed to secure their first win of the season but perhaps the most important of these was to the Hotshots who are trying to rebuild a shattered starting squad and make a meaningful challenge in the division. A loss to the struggling Red Cans could have ruled out a finals chance but the hotshots finally lived up to their name and grabbed the points.

The Venomous Geckoes and Chelsea FC also opened their account with the Geckoes scoring their first Hogg victory since the 2013 season after being a non-starter last year. Chelsea has had a few worries so far this year but got the job done against the Roosters who are yet to win a match in the Hogg Shield.
