Always amazed me how rugby league blokes can play 3 games in a week without crying about it and I'd reckon they'd use the ice baths far more

if it does get moved to saturday, you can bank on it starting at 12:40 or 1:10 as the Crows play at 4:40. Need to accomodate those few dozen Raven diehards.

Norwood then played Port at 7.40pm on Friday 24 April.
That’s a gap of about 5 days and 3 hours.

The Adelaide “state team” played South at 11.30am on Sunday and finished at about 2.30pm on Sunday.
They are scheduled to play at 7.40pm on Friday.
That’s a gap of about 5 days and 5 hours.

The Adelaide Crows (AFL team) played at 4.10pm yesterday and finished at about 7pm last night.
The Adelaide State team is due to play Norwood at 7.40pm on Friday.
That’s a gap of about 5 days and half an hour, if you played in the Showdown yesterday and the SANFL this week. .

If a player who played for Adelaide v South can’t play for Adelaide v Norwood after a 5 day and 5 hour gap, how can a player be dropped from the Crows - eg for form reasons - be expected to play after 5 days and half an hour versus Norwood?

Surely you can’t have a rule where players who play SANFL games over two consecutive weeks are not able to “breach” an AFLPA agreement, but such an Agreement can be breached when a player is sent from AFL back to SANFL after being dropped for reasons of form or match ups not working in the AFL the next week?

Excellent points.

If the cows get their way does it mean that they will enforce the rule onto their top up players? Double standards much? Blokes that work during the day train in the evening and play 2 games in 24 hours are ok but blokes who play the game as their full time job must have 5 days between games. Soft Cocks springs to mind.....

Glad to hear this for two reasons; 1-on principle, absolutely no way should the game have been moved, what happened Saturday night was not Norwood's problem and a five day break in a one off situation is hardly unreasonable. Also happy as it will mean my partner and I will go, we certainly would not have gone on the Saturday as we are Glenelg first in the SANFL and the games would have clashed. Mostly though I am glad common sense has for once prevailed.

Excellent. It p!sses me of though how the AFLPA has to give the green light for game in a separate competition to proceed with a full strength Adelaide side. They should have no say whatever.

This would have been much more interesting if the AFLPA didn't give approval.

If this had been approved that the Ravens moved this to Saturday, I would expect South versus Central game would be moved to Sunday from the Saturday for our preparation.

It is a fair even competition where "everyone is one a level playing field"!
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

no doubt, but both accidents... South wouldn't make the same mistake twice.

Not much Glenelg could do about a blackout that also affected thousands of residents in the area.
