No, cos it's not up to the members. If the club has a direction (and if they could, please tell us) then they're obliged to stick with that plan. What I'm seeing is fracturing throughout the club and no clear direction.

As I said, the pres is in an invidious position. He's doomed if he does and doomed if he doesn't.

I personally hope the pres has a change of heart and pushes him out because I think Laidley can do a better job with this group for the remainder of the year.

BTW, this REALLY got up my nose this morning http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/eddie- ... 7350887824

Talk now of trading Yarran.. Surely after who Carlton have lost in recent years, and their current list you would want to hold onto Yarran?

Maybe looking at getting in as many picks as possible to start a full rebuild.

Been talked about the past couple of years for trade.

Realistically could be best for both parties to move on.

They only talk about yarran Gibbs and murphy as trade bait because they are about the only ones that still would have value in the market.

And btw Adelaide thanks you for letting us have Eddie :)

I call bulltish....

Henderson, Menzel, Walker, Casboult to name but 4 would be tradeable easily...

Not that i want any of these 4 to go but to say that only Murph, Gibbs and Yarran are the only ones with value is just garbage...

Casboult wouldn't be worth much - if you are in and out of arguably the worst team in the comp that's something against you. Having said that I don't think he is a bad player, but clubs won't be lining up to get him.

Walker is about to turn 29 so you won't be giving up a high pick for him.

Menzel is going to be a gun but is injury prone.

Henderson Carlton people rate but I really don't see it tbh. A decent footballer bit once again I don't see clubs lining up for him. You see right though he will attract interest too.

Casboult - arguably the best contested mark in the comp. Get his kicking sorted- gold....

Henderson can play tall forward and defense, can take a strong mark and kick well...

Menzel is a gun and all clubs would trade and trade well for him...

You boys are forgetting that these men are elite Australian rules footballers currently employed to an organization with pitiful leadership piss poor training structures and mediocre recruiting

All of these men are crying out for inspiration motivation and positivity

Chuck any of these boys in at any other club, excluding Richmond Brisbane and gold coast, and these men will flourish, just like the way ex-Carlton players are right now elsewhere

They are just soldiers without a competent sergeant right now

Walker looks pretty cooked. The other three maybe. Thought Levi played well last week some real progress made with his kicking. Hopefully the big fellow gets some confidence out if it.

Quick Fix Carlton didn't learn a thing. Tanking, Visy Ambassador deals, wealthy White Knights, sacking Ratten to bring in "premiership" Mick, grossly overrating the state of the list. I reckon the Blues' premiership drought will exceed Geelong's famed 44 year spell in the wilderness.

More a reflection on the current head coach than the player I think

Eddie would still be delivering up the same old inconsistent snot if he was still at the Blues, he needed a change of scenery.
