Perhaps best to just leave it for what it is - a forfeit - instead of speculating reasons etc. and suddenly rumours and innuendo grow from nothing..

... remember if its on SAFooty - it must be true :D

I hear the farmers are having another week off.

Because of the rain?

From the Advertiser 13th May, 3.45pm

AN AMATEUR footballer has copped a league life ban after being found guilty of striking and misconduct.

The SA amateur league’s investigations committee last night hit Ingle Farm player Anthony Multa with a four-week ban for his role in an on-field brawl in a C4 match against Rosewater at Eric Sutton Oval on May 2.

It comes a week after the league’s tribunal banned Multa for eight games for striking in the same match.

Multa has now reached the league’s 12-game suspension threshold, which sparks a life ban from the competition.

He can play in other leagues because he has not reached the 16-game ban threshold of football’s national deregistration policy.

The amateur league is also investigating Ingle Farm.

The league forced the club to forfeit its C4 game against Pulteney on Saturday.

League chief executive John Kernahan said Multa’s latest ban was for his role in the club’s “general misconduct”.

Mr Kernahan would not comment on the league’s ongoing investigation into Ingle Farm.

The northern suburbs club’s C4 team is not able to play against Pooraka on Saturday but will return to the field the following week.

It is not the first time Ingle Farm has been in hot water with the league.

In 2013, police came to the club’s division seven grand final against Angle Vale after a brawl involving dozens of spectators spilt on to the ground, leading to the game being called off.

The club’s under-18s lost six premiership points last season after a melee during a match.

Ingle Farm president Bill Collins declined to comment.

In their defence, a number of their blokes tried to stop him so it isn't the whole team or club

Maybe all clubs should do a phycological evaluation on each individual footballer. ( Yeh right )
I've been around the club long enough and don't even know who this turd is.
He's got what he deserved and will no doubt disappear into the depths of shitsville with all the other dick brains that have represented many clubs.

Was rather surprised when I heard about it. Our round 1 game against them was played in good spirits even though we ran over the top of them and both clubs have had a few very good games against each other over the past few years.

Ingle Farm made finals in 2013 in the C4 competition and were a great group of guys, coach a good bloke, decent footballers. Were great to play against and had absolutely no issues. Shame that a few peanuts seem to have come in since then because it tarnishes the whole club.

Tarnished the club in part - yes you are right and that is a big enough penalty as is.
Let's hope the SAAFL realise that and no further penalties apply.
It's disappointing but the club will hold its head high and continue to support all the other good work that's been getting done.
Too many good kids coming through to drop the bundle now.

I can confirm the person suspended has accepted his punishment, as well as a 12 month club imposed ban in which he has some work to do over that time including:

* He has entered into a Mental Health Plan to help him deal with anxiety and depression issues he is currently battling, and address triggers
* Will be required to undertake and successfully complete an Anger Management programme organised by the club to help educate and rehabilitate him.
* Is expected to complete a Coaching General Principles course (especially Rules & Regulations).
* Will complete a letter of apology to the IFFC C Grade for his actions and the effect it has had on them.
* Speak to the Junior football side of the club about his actions and the impact it has had on his life and football playing "career" (for lack of better work).

At 24 years of age, and having never been involved in any incidents previously - through junior football, senior football and life in general, the club will continue to provide support and guidance to Anthony moving forward to deal with this and receive the help he needs.

This was and will remain an isolated incident, and the club is undertaking measures to ensure that is does not happen again in the future.

The Advertiser article paints a bleak picture of the football club, but the facts remain that over the past 4 years or so the club has worked tirelessly to change a negative image and the onfield conduct has been for the most part exemplary - especially in the higher grades, there have been no reports or suspensions in the A, B or C Grades since 2011.

Hope this clears up for all and sundry and can leave it at that and move on...

Abusive language happens in all walks of life, to get rubbed out for that seems a bit weak but then again Amateur League have a monopoly on football in this state, the only metropolitan league bar The Southern League, Be good to see another comp up and running and give the Amateurs something to think about.

Couldn't agree more, the return of the CDFA would be best for all.

Those who want to play clean, civilized football to the SAAFL, those who prefer the rough and tumble, where men and men to the CDFA

Come on guys, no need to get involved with things outside of this issue. The club has dealt with this in the best way it can, taking shots at what people think of us & things outside of our control does nothing to assist the hard work that has been done in the previous seasons cleaning up the football club.

in fairness 95% of the situations that I've seen on these forums where IF has been slammed by someone it has resulted from one former user name and one current late Saturday night poster being heavily involved in the conversation and at times adding fuel to the fire. Haven't seen much slamming of them of late, I ask is it coincidence that one of these posters no longer writes on these forums during that time?

FWIW I don't think FC has been out of line and she clearly explained herself with that post last week.
