I've got a question. Does Mitchell Park get the same fat idiot umpire each week who wouldn't know what holding the ball was if it grabbed him by the plums, or are there just multiple umpires like this?
Hey Goose, ya big stud! Take me to bed or lose me for ever.

Anyone else find the arrogance and 'chirp' from North Pines a little embarrassing? You're an A-grade side playing D7R, have some humility ffs.

Ladder after Rd 8
Houghton Dst 7 7 0 0 14 (Bye) (@AU) (@AV)
St Pauls OS 8 7 0 1 14 (Bye) (Bye) (@MP)
Adelaide Uni 8 5 0 3 10 (Bye) (AU) (FU)
Salisbury West 6 2 0 4 4 (AV) (MP) (Bye)
Angle Vale 6 2 0 4 4 (SW) (FU) (HD)
Mitchell Pk 6 1 0 5 2 (FU) (@SW) (MP)
Flinders Uni 6 0 0 6 0 (@MP) (@AV) (@AU)

With the top 3 having this week off the attention turns to the bottom half and a big battle for 4th spot to take shape with Salisbury West taking on Angle Vale. If Salisbury West played the way they did yesterday i can see them coming away with the points. Its also a big game at the foot of the ladder with Mitchell Pk looking to get some confidence back by getting a win or for Flinders Uni to break the duck and get off the board.

Will be interesting to see how St Pauls will go having a fortnight of football off.

Hahha, I love the North Pines guys, I've always got along really well with them for some reason and took the chirp in good nature, but that's how I am on the field anyway.

Can understand if others would get aggrieved...

They gave your boys a bit of a touch up ... bit of an odd result really, some injuries on the dung hill?

A few missing from the A-grade, but clearly outclassed in the Reserves game on Saturday.

Not sure if they've picked up more players since the first time we played them.

Yeah they're going to be exceedingly hard to beat.

Its one of those things, I suspect the team they would have had if they played in D7 would have been considerably less strong than the team that is now sniffing a gimme flag in D7R.

That's one thing I think the Executive need to take into more consideration when trying to administrate the lower levels of the SAAFL. The culture down here (especially at the playing level) for a lot of teams is about having fun, not climbing divisions. Playing at a lower standard, and winning games, is often preferred to going up and struggling and not having fun. I am not sure this is the case for Divisions 2 through 5 where I think the number division you're playing somehow holds significant prestige.

I had to go home and put that moonboot through the washing machine.

Snapchat tells me that shenanigans followed my departure.
