Hopefully NZ can build on their lead during day four to set up a victory and then Boult can bowl them to victory with assistance from Southee and Henry

NZ in trouble in their 1st dig and still make 350
Poms cruising at 1/215 then slump to 8/267 then tail wags to make 350 as well.
NZ then in big trouble at 2/23 in 2nd dig and then Taylor & Guptill have responded by smashing the poms for 94 stand so far off only 72 balls!
Beats the crap out of the T20 rubbish !!!!!!!!!!!

Great test no doubt but that stuff happens more often now because of T20

T20 cricket has improved test cricket. I don't really get the angst about it.

very true TC, the difference being the stroke play while being more aggressive than test matches in previous era's is classical still ie no ramps and reverse sweeps as seen in T20.

Also, 2 lefthanded Aussie openers often ended up a run a ball 90 odd :D

My main point with T20 is that the games are just so MEANINGLESS !
Its entertainment and nothing else, the result means very little.
Just like WWE Wrestling. No one cares who wins.
I enjoy watching games that are actually meaningful.
Any game that goes for 5 days is worth winning.

Meanwhile Southee after striking out 5 balls in a row has now flown along to 39 off only 20 balls! Lmao

Yeah these injuries and two test series are just great. The disappearance of the ODD format is brilliant too. I guess that's only a problem if we want to continue winning world cups. I wonder if you think T20 cricket has improved tests after the West Indies series, that's if they have any players left.

Pathetic by Ian Bell. Move a guy to leg slip, hits the ball straight to him 2 balls later.

1-1 after 2 tests
And no more test matches

Only 2 Tests in this series
5 ODIs scheduled now

NZ were in England playing 2 warm up games between 8/5 to the first test 29/5
Might have been better to give them 1 warm up, and perhaps a one day game, and squeeze in a 3rd test?
In the end there were 2 warm up games and 2 tests

Bullshit isn't it!

That sounds like a good setup Mal, if only the ICC had the same chain of thought

That's because he is no f**king good against quality bowling. His footwork makes him look like a E grade community cricketer. Surely England have a bloke better than him that can bat at number 3?! Bat Root or Bell ahead of him IMO. As I've said previously hopefully he plays in the Ashes, give us more of a winning chance.
