About ******* time! First time this season all starters posted a score allowing me to focus on the bench spots.

With another 2 trades burnt again this week the starting side should score over 2000 this week provided all of them at least score their season average

Horrible week for me! Work was flat out and never got a chance to make any changes before the games - had 2 zeros and no subs! Saved a few trades I suppose!

Pompy's Roosters finally had a chance to crow this week when they bagged a big upset victory over previously unbeaten Woollballs. Another team who enjoyed their first win of the year was Hollands Red Cans who spiflicated the Loose Husseys by over 500 points. A fair way to get off the mark.

Except for the Woolballs the top sides fared well again this week. Wadey's Warriors remained on top of the table after they got the job done against KnuckeysKillers in the match of the round while Summer of George overtook the Warriors in scoring in this league as they comfortably accounted for an unlucky big bangers combination.

One team who is more than a bit lucky so far this season is PowerFailure who are somehow 3 wins and 1 loss and in the top eight despite not scoring all that many points. The Fails were up to their old tricks again this week as the scratched out an unimpressive victory over the point-shy Hotshots. Teams on the up such as DA HEAT, Raging Hooligans and Robsquad managed to rack up impressive wins with DA HEAT consolidating their place in the top eight after they beat Chelsea FC.

Other sides such as the Venomous Geckoes, KnuckeysKillers and Chelsea scored ok but didn't get the victory but other opportunities will come from them. Already The Hotshots and the Husseys look set to go down and Summer of George and the Warriors look set to go up but it's all bets are off for the rest.

This game sucks balls this year! Over 500 points loss is ridiculous.

The Summer of George is warming up as the Premiership favourite after they went a game clear in the 5th round of Hogg Division IV action. George took over the scoring honors last week and now they top the table after Hollands Red Cans sensationally ended Wadey's Warriors unbeaten start to the season.

DA HEAT and KnuckeysKillers took advantage with DA HEAT doing really well to defeat the more highly fancied and ranked Woolballs. The Woolies' loss sees them swap with DA HEAT with the 12 year old coach currently sitting in the top four at this stage of the season. RustyCage had a second poor score of the season and was punished for it by the Roosters who made it two on the trot after dropping their first three. The Robsquad (Sturt B) are having their best season in the Hogg and they marched into the top eight after disposing of the Raging Hooligans.

PowerFailure are living up to their name at the moment and nearly pulled off another low scoring win but this time they were on the wrong end of the ledger as the Loose Husseys got home by 14 points. The Hotshots pulled off a nailbiter as well with an important victory over HereComesTheSuns who look set a few weeks ago but now appear to be fading fast.

While the PowerFailure are currently in the eight other sides such as the Roosters, Hollands Red Cans and Venomous Geckoes would all be eyeing their spot. Spare a thought for poor old Chelsea who, unlike the EPL outfit, can't seem to buy a win.

18 big bangers 1 5 11820 12351 95.70 4

Double Hogg Premiers RustyCage are back in town after disposing of the previously third ranked DA HEAT in Round 6 of Division IV action. It was very much 'as you were' for the competition frontrunners Summer of George and Wadey's Warriors who both scored victories once again although the Summer of George were not convincing winning a low scoring contest against a wobbling Woolballs outfit.

KnuckeysKillers lived up to their name when they downed Red Cans with a very impressive 2290 which would have beaten most coaches this week in the Hogg. Other teams to pull a 2200 included Nabotique who scored well for the first time since Round 1 and the Roosters who are now on a roll with a three match winning streak.

At the other end of the ladder HereComesTheSuns are sinking fast after copping a big defeat at the hands of the Loose Husseys who have finally found some form after a slow start. Victories continue to elude Chelsea and big bangers who are propping up the ladder with a single win after six matches.

Division IV hasn't seen too many upsets with Wadey's Warriors and Summer of George ruling the roost most weeks. However, PowerFailure have flicked the switch to sensationally upset the Apple cart of the highly rated Knuckeys Killers by a single point. The close matches didn't finish there either as Loose Husseys snuck over the line against the unlucky Roosters by a mere six points.

Loose Husseys aren't the only team on the mend as Chelsea FC finally broke through for that elusive win which lifted them out of the relegation zone. Nabootique made it back to back wins to get their season back on track and Robsquad got back in the eight after they defeated last placed big bangers.

DA HEAT and Woolballs are two challengers who steadied the ship while teams such as Venomous Geckoes are in freefall. RustyCage has also lost that winning feeling after being the latest team to fall afoul of Summer of George while the mighty Warriors pretty much had their way with the struggling HereComesTheSuns.

18 big bangers 1 7 15841 16704 94.83 4

In a SuperCoach round where a lot of teams passed 2300, this league missed the scoring bus a bit with only three coaches passing that figure during round 8. It's no surprise that the big two Wadey's Warriors and Summer of George were amongst them with the third member of this impressive trio being Raging Hooligans who are still outside the top eight despite knocking off top eight side woolballs.

Nabootique has staged a bit of a comeback in recent weeks and remarkably finds themselves back in the top eight after they defeated last placed big bangers by over 250 points. Robsquad and Roosters have lost their way a bit in recent matches and Nabootique is now open for business. PowerFailure is up to their old tricks as they managed to win yet another low scoring encounter..how do they do it??

Chelsea is another team trying to make up ground on the league's big guns but all in all it looks pretty settled up there with the top five sides all gaining victory this weekend. The relegation battle looks pretty open with Venomous Geckoes joining robsquad and Roosters in providing hope for those teams currently mired in the bottom four.

The match of the round in Division IV was between second ranked Wadeys Warriors and the kid DA HEAT. In something of an upset it was kidpower that prevailed after his long awaited recruit Adam Treloar finally suited up for DA HEAT and tonned up. Other top eight sides to take a tumble included Knuckeys Killers who were upset by the out of the eight Roosters who stayed in the hunt for a finals place with an eighty point win. RustyCage also came a cropper as they got rolled by fellow top eight contender the Raging Hooligans who were a big rival with them in Divvy VI last season.

Robsquad, Chelsea and Venomous Geckoes kept the flame burning with important victories before the byes but the Woolballs fluffed their lines again with their 64 point loss to Robsquad. PowerFailure haven't been scoring much all season but somehow they keep getting the wins on the board, must have a good defence at Powerland. Nabootique was closed on the long weekend and they tumbled down a massive five spots after their loss to PowerFailure.

In the bottom four it was HereComesTheSuns who got a win on the board with the other three teams stinking it up like usual. I reckon the bottom four might be set despite the Suns' win as Loose Husseys have been scoring ok in recent weeks, but not well enough to stop the unstoppable Summer of George who are have now won nine straight.

It was a big week for Wadey's Warriors after they hit back with a win over the previously unbeaten Summer of George in the match of the round. Knuckey's Killers also had a good round as they cashed in on a DA HEAT side that only has two types of players, Hawthorn players and Richmond players. Much better to play the kid this week than over the next two and the Killers Snuckeyed back into the top four.

Raging Hooligans, Rusty Cage, Woolballs and Chelsea all had good wins which was bad news for points-shy PowerFailure who were punished by HereComesTheSuns. The Suns scrambled out of the relegation zone on the back of the upset win after Loose Husseys were flogged by an inform Venomous Geckoes who have really got going in the last few weeks. The other contender outside the top eight are the Roosters who were unlucky to drop a spot on the ladder despite defeating the struggling Hollands Red Cans. However it was Robsquad who got the 'Logan' award for the flop of the week as they went down four spots after coming up well short of RustyCage.

I knew that my first week of the bye rounds was going to be horrible - had to conceed one of the three - this week will have 20 players on the park and most of them have played thier bye already so the week after "should" be ok too - I hate bye rounds its stupid - would much rather the AFL have a full week off and encourage people to go watch grass roots footy that weekend!
