Chris Judd retiring right now.

Sad way to see such a great leave our game, one of my favourites being a WCE fan and obviously played a pivotal role in our 2006 premiership.

You will be missed Juddy

That's the end of a great career.

One of the all time legends of the game and one of only a few to have got a Norm Smith Medal in a losing team in the Swans famous 2005 Grand Final win.

All the best for your future endeavours Juddy.

I'm neither a West Coast or Carlton fan but I'm a fan of this great game and Chris Judd's contribution to it has been exceptional.

After seeing him go down on Saturday my eyes welled up a little and i went and cracked a can of Jacks and lit up a durry as I walked out on to my patio and realised it was probably going to be the last time I seen him grace the field.

A real ambassador for the game and definitely in the top 5% of all players to have ever played the game, I remember messaging my brother years back telling him to turn the footy on and watch this freak tearing a game apart.

Thank you for your contribution to the game Juddy, a true champion!!

Pre-Hammys at the West Coast he was unstoppable, Ablett Jnr-esque in a lot of ways. The fact that once he lost his blistering pace and a few yards on his kicks, he was still able to find so much of the ball, escape opposition clutches and claim another Brownlow was testament to how great this bloke has been. Has been a pleasure to watch his career.

I agree with everything you blokes are saying.

He'd have been an asset to any side.

They've been having Ablett vs Judd comparisons over the weekend, Ablett for mine by a hair.

That's where it's all wrong, he'll be in there by 2020 yet he'll only be 36 years old, 10 years out of the game for mine, at a guess he'll be inducted a legend.

On that, can you be inducted and then legendised later?

Isnt that how it works? Hall of fame first for a while then "up graded" to legend

Judd at his peak was the best I've seen I reckon. His ability to hit top speed in a couple of steps (if that) and burst clear of a pack was incredible to watch. Champion of the highest order.

All the best Juddy. An incredibly sad way for a champion of his ilk to bow out of the game.

When in full flight from 2004-11, he was an absolute pleasure to watch. His pace away from stoppages on the first 2-3 steps, and ability to break the weekly tag was simply amazing.

Yeah, the form Jim showed there is nearly as poor as the Bombers at the moment.

I doubt many people will think pressure point or chicken wing when the name Chris Judd is mentioned in years to come.
