Well from the comments above it seems nobody can argue that the long Port Adelaide tradition is not being upheld when it comes to the runner being full time on the ground! This is a tradition going back decades!

Nah, just since the Magpies ceased to exist. So, only a year and a half or so.

You keep up the rage with the confected persecution complex though.

Which broken record ?

Highest or lowest crowd between the 2 teams at Elizabeth [2139 last year] ?

Port Reserves highest winning score at Elizabeth

Port Reserves highest winning margin at Elizabeth

Centrals highest losing score at Elizabeth against Port Reserves

Centrals highest losing margin at Elizabeth v Port Reserves

Agree Carey
Being Port Reserves second year in the comp, there are going to be many broken records

Central certainly played the wide expanses better in the first half. Corridor footy.

Ports run in the third created plenty of opportunities.

The last was tight and tough. Was a pretty good game of footy.

We continue to perform strongly against reasonable sides - just can't quite break through against them though.
There's a very similar feel to last year here.

Centrals also gave 500 free tickets to Holden for a family day.

If only they'd given away 1,000. You'd have gotten nearer the 3,000 mark and Benny would be telling us all how successful the Ressies' inclusion is after all.

Do Centrals still do their own gate or do the SANFL take the figures?

First game at Elizabeth for a couple of years for me as it coincided with the bye in the SAAFL. I'm still not sure how the interpretation of holding the ball and high contact differs from the SAAFL to the SANFL but it must. From my perspective, the difference in the two teams was the fact that one was made up of guys how could train 5 days a week and the other team had to work for a living and train in their spare time.

Why? Well. because it's my club and that of many others and while the Port Adelaide Football Club is represented in any capacity in the SANFL, AFL, SAAFL....wherever, I will care and so will many, many others.

Holden didn't give them all out however. I was offered some late Friday as they had a heap left.

The period of play between the 6:40 and 7:20 marks...how close was this to the end of the game?

Pretty much cost them the game.

If no free kick was awarded it would have been Centrals by five points with about 2 minutes to go.

Instead it goes down for Summo to goal and put us 7 points clear, another behind making it the 8 point margin.

Was pretty silly, of all the blokes to pick on, old Butch. The crowd certainly gave the boys a nice send off. Anyway, I hope the locals enjoyed their day out.
