No footy again next week for me and my team

by VALE PARK » Tue Jun 09, 2015 1:03 pm

So come Saturday no footy for me and my team AGAIN that's no game and gardening in 2 of last 4 weeks.
I thought this was winter and the footy season.
I don't get it!

RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Can't even remember the last time I saw North, only the SANFL could organise a draw with no byes that has more interruptions in it than parliament's speech time.
Who did we play when there was the Grog Squad/Cheer squad reunion? That was it!
The one thing the AFL teams being included being sold to us was a normal season with less breaks, seem to have as many breaks, a shorter seasin and countless other things going wrong.

Especially when the byes are only so that the AFL clubs can meet their CBA's .. More AFL influence on the local competition.

I think the fact that you, a team with top-five hopes, couldn't beat us, is probably more of a worry.

It's a worry for sure, but not sure how it makes you better than us. Ponderosa always hard place to get a win, especially for us

I didn't say it makes us better.
Centurion said that and he's proved to be a pretty good judge of our form over the years.

Yeah I gotta say this season is lacking momentum.

Feels like every second or third weekend someone isn't playing and I thought 1 of the main advantages of having the 10 teams was not having byes.

Think the SANFL needs to bite the bullet and either start the season later or finish earlier next season and reduce the number of weekends teams don't seem to be playing.

Round 1 to round 19 are spread across 23 weekends which means every teams has 5 weekends where they don't play a game way too many if you ask me.

Surely in an 18 round season 1 weekend off after 9 rounds is sufficient!!!

The season is already at an all time record for how short it is.
Needs more games.
8 teams playing each other three times would be perfect for a minor round.
