Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Interesting to note that when this occurred, not one Scotch player remonstrated as it looked accidental. the field umpire even said "I know it wasn't intentional but it was high"..

Maybe he had some games suspended from a previous indiscretion? For example, he may have been given 2 for this offence, but had 4 games suspended from a previous offence, so he gets a total of 6.

Player in question got suspended for 1 week back in 2012 I think it was, for accidental front on high contact.. . Pretty disappointing all in all, especially considering the field umpire right next to the incident said that it wasn't intentional but worth a yellow, while the official on the sidelines thought he better step in and assert some authority.. must of had a way better view from the bleachers.. the player is pretty positive bloke and will move on no matter what, but it certainly puts a dent in my faith in the system.

Always get a laugh when you hear someone get suspended, someone paints the player as an angel, you have a guess at which player from that club it might have been. Funny how often you're right.

Jetters, you are right, all clubs have players that push the boundaries and this player does that week in week out. The untold part about this player is that he has been at Modbury since u8, despite I am sure the evil dollar being offered to him to o elsewhere. This IMO is what amateur football is all about, but alas those days are long gone. A true clubman, probably none better at Modbury and is the one player that all rival spectators abuse.

Well done to Leigh Harding who played his first A grade game for Gepps Cross since 2000. Absolute club legend with well over 350 games at the club.

Admittedly we are struggling for talent at the moment but it is good to see the players working their butts off for their jumper rather than a pay packet. Hoepfully be better off in the long run with alot of u18s playing in the As and Bs at the moment.

Hopefully we can get a win before the end of the season before having a good crack at div 3.
Go you Redbacks!

Will Dalwood has left North Adelaide and is believed to be joining his brother at PAOC for the remainder of the season

The 2 sides promoted now hold positions 1 and 2 on the premiership table after Gaza's loss today, battle for 4th and 5th well and truly on, PAOC will be better off with Will Dalwood in the side (had a big influence against Broadies today) with st Peters and Scotch hot on their heels.

Going to be a great 2nd half of the season one thinks

Agreed! Saw Unley a few weeks ago too, they are a quick and skilful outfit. Harder, Wark, Chettle etc are hard to match up on! PAOC definitely have great depth and should come home with a wet sail, whilst we know what kind of damage Gaza and Modbury can do, so it's gonna be a very competitive second half of the season for sure! Anyone's bet at the moment

Saturday's Unley Mercedes V GAZA game was fantastic. Game never had more than a goal or two in it. Anyone who thinks you have to go to Adelaide oval to see the best footy is missing out on the real game :) Two tough sides playing gutsy football. Some frustrating decisions by the men in white but overall a very entertaining game.

At half way point I don't think anyone can stake claims. I agree Modbury remain one of the sides to beat in the comp, along with Gaza. But with the potential in the top 6 or 7 anyone could feature come September. Nice to be on top at this point tho (he says stating the obvious :) )

Think you can lock the top 3 in, just a matter of where they finish in that top 3, 4th and 5th spot up for grabs between the 3 Colleges and Broadies if they can get their best side on the Park

Good win by the Tigers today 34pts over Modbury on their own Ground. Hopefully this win will get the team up and running for the run home to the finals. \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

The score might not show it but the boys put in a good effort yesterday against PAOC, only problem was that we could only match PAOC for about 2 and a half quarters.

We were a goal up at 1/4 time but had a stinker of a 2nd quarter and PAOC kicked 6 goals to 1. We got right back in the game and were 2 goals down late in the 3rd and then it all went pear shaped. PAOC did as they pleased from about 5 mins left in the 3rd and all through the last, kicking 9 goals to zip in the last. Our effort didnt stop it was just that PAOC kicked into another gear or two and they ended up running away big winners 22.11 to 7.5.

Footy has its ups and downs and hopefully the boys continue to put in all the effort they can and the wins start to come our way.

What's the final 5 going to look like?

1. Jets
2. Modbury
3. Gaza
4. PAOC - could have a look at the top 3 if they beat Gaza this week, otherwise top 3 are sorted.
5. Scotch - biggest X factor of the other teams competing for finals, their best, with their scoring power is right up there.

Watched smosh vs spoc today. Tredordan is a gun. But number 19 Adam jolly. Biggest dog act I have seen in 20 years of watching saafl footy. To kick a player and cause injury is a disgrace. game was played in good spirits well done to both sides. Adam jolly kicking is for girls. Your time will come. Dog act
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.
