Poor performance by Dogmatic due to injuries and list management. There was no point trying to be competitive for round 10. Hopefully I can bounce back this week and the week after.
I am due to get a captain (and vc loop) right so look out Crack.

So far the bye weeks have created havoc in this league with the once invincible Crack of Trust falling to a second straight loss, this time to Moneybrawl who clambered out of the relegation zone with a 418 point percentage builder. Another top side in DaisysDuds also fell to bottom four opposition with ZedForce hanging on for a nailbiting win in a three point boilover which could get Zed's season back on track.

Most of the bottom sides showed some real fight this week. Four of the bottom five teams managed a win with the struggling Wombats! missing out as they were well beaten by FOOTYLEDGENS who have now somehow climbed to ninth spot on the ladder. Greedy Guns broke through with their first win in many rounds when they had a comfortable win over another side who hasn't done much during the bye rounds in Brown Boys.

With the Crackers going down it was a good week for the other top four sides as Professor Crow, Hips Don't Lie and Such as Fyfe suddenly all over Crack of Trust who have seen their three game lead evaporate over the past two weeks. Teams who looked like they turned things around last week in Jims TigerRoos, Wigg Brothers and Duromine Dependent all got done and it was a second loss in a row to the Standards who have slipped behind the top eight now.

The Crack of Trust has hit back hard after a couple of down weeks in a round when a few teams managed to turn around some recent fortunes. DaisysDuds are another side who badly needed to get back on the winning list and duly did so to stay in top four contention. The Brown Boys continue to be a puzzle with their topsy-turvy season back on the upswing after a big win over a team rated higher than them on the ladder. Spud Factory got a free swing against the Cub who had no troops and duly laid down his arms so a nice percentage boost there for Spuddy.

Choppa's Standards and the Wiggs managed to get back on the winners list while Zeddy and Moneybrawl's mid season revival gathered a bit of momentum. Not a great week for the bottom five and things are getting mighty tight in the land of the relegation zone.

After a couple of weeks off I'm back and not a lot has changed in the Division II scene. One big change is that Moneybrawl have proven themselves not to be a spent force after looking like the Goose in Masterchef the other week. I reckon Moneybrawl might get a call from Messrs Watson and Haddin on how to come back from the brink of disaster.

Two sides who have left their run a little late for finals glory have also chimed in with two wins since I last updated this thread in Duromine Dependent and ZedForce. Meanwhile, FOOTYLEDGENS have lost the plot after Cub got too excited about Melbourne winning down at Cat Park for the first time in 76 years. He looks set to join the Wombats and those Guns that are Greedy in Divvy III next year.

Crack of Trust have cracked this week and Professor Crow is now top of the class with just two more rounds to play before Finals. Daisy is coming up Roses as the Cub heads into Hibernation as the Hips no longer lie in the top four after not being on the money against Moneybrawl. The Factory was fully operational and you have to take your hat off to them for topping off the Wiggs.

Get Abrown him boys because the Wombats! have been killed. Some top eight sides are pondering the meaning of Fyfe after they were caught on the hop by JimsTigerRoos. The Standards didn't provide a chop out for Denver who were murdered and you can depend on Duromine as on this occasion the Jocks were lowered. The Guns haven't fired a shot all year but were greedy for points and despite scoring plenty of them Zed appears a spent force.

The plot thickens in Division II as Professor Crow had a pupil free day and lost to Killer Wombats! It was the Wombats best result for the season but it won't amount to much as they have been relegated as they can't make up the percentage difference in the remaining round to unseat Jims TigerRoos. The Crack of Trust have been the head to head kings all season and they have taken back top spot with a solid win over Such Is Fyfe. This loss is not a good look for Fyfie as they are out of the eight now after high scoring Jays Jocks cleaned up DaisysDuds. The loss to the Duds sees them drop out of the top four and they wouldn't like to meet the Jocks again in a fortnight.

Spud Factory are the current scoring leaders in this league and they appear to be on track to make to be the first team to be promoted back into a league that they were previously relegated from. Professor Crow will also join them if they can go up which they should.

A couple of teams cashed in their chips this week despite the fact that 8th spot and 14th spot both lost their Round 16 matches. Current holder of 8th Jays Jocks play the bottom ranked Greedy Guns and even though the Guns have been firing more lately all is lost for them so nearly all of the teams outside the top eight are probably gone. Killer Wombats!, FOOTYLEGENS and Greedy Guns will all play Division III after this weekend's results.

The big matches for the last round are Hips Don't Lie vs. Crack of Trust, DaisysDuds vs. Denver Crows and Jims TigerRoos vs. ZedForce. On current form I'd tip Crack of Trust, Daisy and ZedForce which would mean Daisy makes top four and Denver Crows is relegated. Massive match that DaisysDuds vs. Denver Crows game.

Duromine Dependent has come back from the dead after spending nearly all of the minor round in the relegation zone. Come round 17 and the Dependents have somehow qualified for the finals. They are the form side of the competition after they made light weight of fellow contender Such Is Fyfe. Duromine's comeback has been at the expense of Brown Boys who spent the whole year in the top eight but weren't there when it counted.

Denver Crows had a real crack in the last round and fell just short of a victory that would have kept them in Division II. They'll join the Wombats, LEDGENS and Greedy Guns in Division III next season. Another side in the good form all too late is ZedForce, a side that took too many weeks to hit top form while Wigg Brothers and Choppa's Standards were not consistent enough to push for higher honours.

With the eight settled now Professor Crow looks the side to beat but they will have a tough first up final against Hips Don't Lie. Crack of Trust go into the finals with the worst form of the last six weeks of any team in the eight but it's next week's match that counts for them as they face Spud Factory who scored a similar score to the Crack last round.

DaisysDuds have been a good side for most of the year but wouldn't relish a re-match with Duromine Dependent and the relatively low-scoring Moneybrawl will probably have their hands full with Jays Jocks starting to hit their straps (always time for another Jocks joke). I reckon Professor Crow and Duromine could be the sides that go up here.

The Crack of Trust have been one of the dominant teams all season in Division II and they stamped their authority on the premiership race with a powerful 2610 which was more than enough to sink valiant Spud Factory who went pretty close to scoring 2500 themselves. In the other double chance final Hips Don't Lie continued on with their late season run to earn the week off when they upset the fancied Professor Crow combination. Hips Don't Lie and Crack of Trust are now one match away from qualifying for Division I next season as you have to make the Grand Final in order to get promoted.

In the knockout finals the sleeping giant that is Duromine Dependent claimed their latest scalp, DaisysDuds by a comfortable 151 points which means Daisy will be a Divvy II coach again unless he can rack up the points and someone above pulls the pin. Jays Jocks are in the same position after Money brawl smashed out a powerful 2538 to power their way through to the Semi Final round. Moneybrawl and Duromine Dependent have come from nowhere a bit this season and are now peaking beautifully at the right time of the season. I'm glad I'm not playing these blokes next week.

Duromine Dependent have hit form at the right time of the season as they won their 7th match in a row to expel Professor Crow from the finals race. It was a sad end to a good season from the Professor who was looking a likely Grand Finalist during the early rounds of the season. In the other Semi Spud Factory redeemed themselves after they were flogged by Crack of Trust last week. The Spuddy's went to work against Moneybrawl whose low scoring ways finally caught up with them in the second week of the finals.

Duromine have been the form team of the last two months but faces a formidable opponent in Crack of Trust who are really racking up the scores at the moment. Whichever team wins that one will have earnt their promotion to Hogg Division I. In the other Prelim Spud Factory FC is up against Hips Don't Lie in a battle between two old hands of Divvy II.
