great work Spelly.

yet again your stats prove that less people are attending each game than ever before.

and despite some peoples claim to the contrary, it isnt just less people per game as there is an "extra" game each week and attendees are spread out. when the average attendance is multiplied by the number of games it shows less overall as well. sad really

So is it fair to say, with an average crowd in 2013 of 3016, that on a normal weekend (4 games) that 12064, and that to date in 2015 on a normal weekend (5 games) that 13195 people attend.

Ie, there are more games per round now, hence crowds are diluted across 5 games instead of 4, but the overall count is up - so while individual club counts are down, this is somewhat offset with an extra game (meaning less byes).

i know this post was from a while ago, but just to highlight Spelly's stats above, when the average attendance is multiplied by the number of games for each of the years listed, not only is the 2015 average much lower than any other year, the overall attendance is over ten thousand below the next worst season, 2013, which only had one less game to this point of the year, another by product of shortening the season?

sadly i think your "extra games" comment is a furphy and will be found out by the outright shorter season (and the "less byes" bit is an outright joke, have you been paying attention to the amount of weeks off teams have had this season??)
