What a fantastic achievement, I have had the luxury to watch a number of Matty’s games over the years against South and he has been a terrific servant to the Angaston Football Club.
Has played the game hard and fair and I have no idea how he has kept so durable over the years, Let’s be honest he hasn’t got the biggest of frames.
All the best Saturday. Terrific effort.

A good get for Angaston this week
I see young Mathew Blenkiron has been named for Angaston
The lad played for Central reserves last week, and Central have bye this week

I thought there was a rule in place where you wasn’t allowed to come back and play for your local club in this circumstance
Has this rule been changed?
Are other clubs playing all their players who played for Central last week as well?

Dont think there is a rule to stop it, would be more of a case of Centrals not allowing it to happen, I could be wrong though.

What a waste of time having to nominate so many players from the one league... It is not that superior at the top end talent to other leagues.

Squad of 35 cut down to 25 for the carnival is plenty.

Who says it isn't?
Having watched all 4 leagues regularly I'd say the top end of talent in the BLG is much larger - not necessarily quality - than the APFL and NEFL.
The YPFL would be closer.
It's only natural to pick more from the stronger league, especially where players can opt out so easily.

Does BL&G enforce suspensions for players who don't make themselves unavailable?

No I think teams are encourage to send players but no rules about having to play.

I might be wrong in this, but I think players over a certain age - 28 - can opt out without consequences; in the Blg that is. Other leagues might have a similar rule.

Very good win yesterday by South, scoreboard flattered Freeling in the end who were very disappointing after half time. Was great to get Bartsch back for a day and also see the return of Mussolino and Halliday. The big fella had a pretty decent game first up, took a couple of really big grabs and set up several goals, im sure he will be feeling it today
