The Premiership is Reynella's to lose and anything less will be an abject failure. Game plans and game styles count for little come finals in the SFL. The spring winds in the South means that finals conditions generally make it hard to play any sort of possession based game. It won't be game plan or style that will win a flag for Reynella. It will be whether their best available 21 is better than the rest come September and recent performances suggest they are daylight ahead of the rest - with due respect to the also undefeated Falcons . This Saturday is close to the shortest day of the year so hopefully the daylight isn't too much for the Bombers.

Went and had a look at Hackham v Aldinga. Was a pretty good game in the 1st Half with momentum swinging a couple times and Aldinga looking the stronger and leading by a couple goals at Half Time. After Half Time it was all Hackham and they got out to a 5 goal 3Qtr time lead and ended up winning by 6 goals. The big difference in the game was Aldinga have a player Yellow Carded in the 3rd Qtr and Hackham took advantage.

You liked my "household names" reference didn't you Shoe Boy. I suppose I was referring to names that should be known within the ranks of those that follow the SFL closely.

Probably as shocked as anyone with Saturday's result, but credit to our lads for having a fair dinkum crack from the first siren to the final siren. Would have to be our best win and most even contribution from all 21 players during Paul Whaley's two and a half years at the helm. Maybe the "household names" read this forum last week and got ahead of themselves. The pleasing thing was that many upset wins happen when you jump a team early and they can't bridge the gap, but we were neck and neck until late in the 3rd qtr, then pulled away before withstanding one last effort from Reynella late in the game.

One loss doesn't mean too much and Reynella are still Premiership favourites for mine. They still have 2 matches against Flagstaff Hill in Round 15 and Round 19 (that in itself is a bit odd) so the bookies will be waiting for those games before finalising their markets heading into the finals.

Looks like Brighton are the new premiership favourites. Built their way up and look unbeatable at this stage - anything less than a flag from here would be a major upset.

Ky Miller at Noarlunga gave the best individual performance against us I have ever seen in this competition. Absolutely elite.
From what I hear he is a bit up and down, when he is on - I am not sure what player would stop him.

Emu Bode had a pretty good game against us including a sensational last quarter. Based on weekly best player nominations he has had a very good year and appears to be the best ruckman in the comp.

Saw the last qtr of Morphett Vale v Noarlunga. Noarlunga kicked early goal to make it 9 points the difference and then from that point Morphett Vale dominated the Centre Square and seemed harder at it and got numbers to the contest to work the ball forward. Any opportunity Noarlunga was getting was starting from the backlines. While they missed a couple shots at goal it appeared Morphett Vale had the game under control.

I went down to the emu v $hoes or club team v greedy recruit$ game. Pleasing result in front of a huge crowd. Mitts was heard enquiring after the game as to how much it cost to buy a club team of home grown lads and can it be done by June 30.
