It's all I keep picturing, how does she move forward with her life? Just so so sad.

It's the worst possible situation. She hasn't just lost a husband but her son will be away for a long time. Horrible situation. Enjoy life cause you just never know what could happen

Lot of talk out there of ice being involved.

Is there a basis for this or just wild speculation?

I must admit, I didn't know much about Phil Walsh before this, but it's nice to read the anecdotes about this inspiring man who had such drive and ambition. May we all take a leaf from his book and seize our opportunities.

If the game doesnt go ahead, the next time the Crows are at Adelaide Oval is for the showdown in two weeks.

I reckon that it will be the most emotional match of sport ever played with his ties to both clubs.

It's just shattering, I'm still sitting here at work just in complete and utter shock. Just can't believe it

Phil Walsh trophy to replace the showdown trophy. Seems appropriate to me.

I'm sure his mum wouldn't want this Jimbo. But I can see your point of view. That's why I feel for Mrs Walsh. She must feel tormented by the developments of last night and the impact it will have forever more.

How do you forgive someone for doing that I wonder?

Not saying it was an excuse or even involved. Just hearing it and wondering why it has come up or where that may have come from.
Be as angry as you like, I just think for a bloke to kill his dad suggests it could be fairly complicated. Or it might not be. We'll find out I'm sure

Jim two wrongs dont make a right. Ultimately he's going to suffer with the fact that he has destroyed his family for the rest of his life. he has made one massive mistake and will pay the price for that. I hope one day he finds peace.

I just had a thought.

If Sunday's game is, as I expect, canceled or postponed, I would like to see every person who was to attend the match still head to Adelaide Oval, still take their seat and reflect.

Yeah great idea could be a good time for a mini memorial service or something of the like

Even split the oval and have a few kids games on instead to show what the game is meant to be

I can't stop thinking about Meredith Walsh from all of this.

Not only has she lost her husband, she has all but lost her son as well.

Can anyone comprehend how that must feel...

Mental Health is a REAL issue in today's World.
This is another tragic example, no doubt - whether because of substance abuse, emotional turmoil or a combination of both.
Most on here have been guilty @ one point or another (myself included) of saying things to 'goad', ridicule or 'attack' - thankfully 99% of the time in jest, or hints of humor, no doubt.
It is times like these that we should remember that often "words" (either written or spoken) can have everlasting & dyer consequences.
I feel so sorry for Phil Walsh's wife - Domestic Violence is a REAL problem in this country.
If some good could come out of this, perhaps an organisation like the AFL could become more involved & proactive in addressing it?
Very sad state of affairs :(

The saddest thing is this is happening all over the world everyday. It hits everyone hard when it's a public figure that this happens to, but ultimately there are too many Families and friends going through this everyday. Where is the love?

A police report on Facebook is asking for anyone that may have seen his son walking along Brighton Road between 1:45 & 2:30.
