Very quiet on here. Went and watched my Tigers play a very tough, high pressure brand of footy against Hahndorf. Perhaps the Maggies were a little flat after a big game the week prior?? Both teams had their chances and when Hahndorf challenged in the 3rd qtr, it was pleasing to see Lobey respond, particularly a few fringe players who really stepped up. Now the boys just need to find consistency in whats a very even competition.

Was anyone at the HFL meeting last night or is it still going??

Was at lofty on saturday and was a very insipid performance from our boys. 8 goals to 1 in the first quarter was fairly embarrassing and showed that we expected to just turn up and win after seeing the key outs lofty had. On the other hand hats of to lofty, they played hard, tough and attacking footy that was good to watch with a lot of their younger players stepping up and playing well in the absence of Miles and Nielsen.
We like to bugger things up at Ironbank which is what we did saturday and It's going to be hard to make finals now but we have to respond against the Woodies in what will big a game as it always is against them.

So Batman is Jars coaching next year ? You seem to have recruited heavily, will your recruits stick around?

Couldn't tell you Jumbo. Would be nice if the recruits stayed as that's been our issue for numerous years with guys just staying for a year or two. We have a good base of locals with 15 or 16 playing every week plus obviously Motlop, Hitchcock, Visser, Baker and Harrison. The key is to get them to stay as shown by Uri's over the past 10 years. Will be interesting to see if Jars goes whether the recruits go as well but more importantly in the short term Jumbo we have to beat your mob next weekend.

Good to see the Barker boys get up on the weekend. That win has been coming for a while with narrow losses against Uri and Blackwood! I'd imagine they'd have a bit of a say in how the final 5 shapes up in the run home. Cracking win by Lofty. Throw a hat over the top 5. Very open.

Cracka do you (or any others) know which Clubs voted to stay with the current Div 1 Finals system as opposed to changing it?? Also the Relegation idea??

Always blokes keen to come on here slagging off at the HFL admin and then when the opportunity comes to vote for a change the Clubs vote it down!

Not sure who it was but I think it was only 1 or 2 clubs that wanted to change it. Most just said leave it as is as functions etc have already been organised.
What relegation idea are you referring to.
