A loss to Angle Vale and it makes it difficult to get into the top four. Big game for both sides.

Should be a great game, but not the B all and end all.

I also smell an upset, Salisbury West over Adelaide Uni. Why can't we get Uni during exams and the snow season. :D

Mitchell Park are a game a small amount of % ahead of Vale after we've played the same number of games. Say they win tomorrow (quite likely given the named teams) that will mean we're on the same wins.

Angle Vale's run home is: Adelaide Uni, St Paul's, Salisbury West, Houghton, Salisbury West
Mitchell Park's run home is: Houghton, Adelaide Uni, Flinders Uni, St Paul's, Flinders Uni

So still pretty even really. St Paul's games crucial.

Today's game is crucial. Makes it pretty hard for Angle Vale if they lose.

Just a few mins into the 3rd qtr. Angle Vale 8.3 MP 12.7. Angle Vale have picked up and look menacing. We were overconfident again in the 1st qtr but hit our stride in the 2nd. But they've definitely got the jump on us at the moment. Still anyone's game IMO.

By the way, MP are without a ruckman - Tom Roberts is injured - and a few boys are sharing the duties. Really impressed with how they're going. Aaaaaaand... we've just kicked two goals in as many minutes. Carn Parkies!!! :D

Didn't actually see the final score - got distracted by the stoush in front of us - but Parks got home by about 90-100 points I think. Like last week, had a strong second half after initially coughing up the first 2-3 goals. Great win :D

Tempted to get admin to ban my account for the week.

Angle Vale if you're serious, you'd kick #44 and #56 from your B grade out of your club tommorow. Actually got warned about those exact two from different teams and sources and sadly they lived up to their reputation.

Couple of weeks for Van-headbutt or whatever his name is too I think.

#44 was meant to be internally suspended for a couple of games after our game two weeks ago, I guess they were just words in the end.

Has Mitchell Park had a mid season influx of new players, or benefiting from putting they're best side on the park?

The latter Q. Finally got injured ones back, got the positions and structure working better with continuity. Was always going to take a bit of time with new coaches, new players and pretty much a new club. We have played some good footy in the last 5 weeks but to be honest we still lack depth quality and we wouldn't need too much to go wrong but confidence spreads.

I'd rather not as then it turns into a slinging match. Genuinely feel for the good people out there but they're getting let down by some complete and utter **** wits.

The team that lost to Angle Vale on our home deck was arguably a tad stronger on paper.

Changes since then:

OUT: B.Tonkin, C.Lea, T.Roberts, M.Davidson, A.Hay
IN: D.Loades, S.Munro-Ford, R.Labbozzetta, S.Tonkin, T.Hyde

In the outs are probably 2 of our top 5 players - Davidson and Roberts. The in's have 4 players that have played regular B Grade this year and not because of injury.

The credit for Mitchell Park's form has to go to the coaches and the on field leaders.

Still a LONG way to go though and any more injuries/holidays and we're going to be in strife as the depth isn't quite there.

Varcoe can't kick and really shouldn't be playing. Dudley came off half way through the last. Karpany went alright.

Don't know about playing your gun ruckman at fullback the whole game. The entire Mitchell Park bench were pretty relieved when Burgess was stuck back there.

Well the 2nd half, he dominated the air in the 1st half. He is still in the top 2 rucks in the comp for mine but yes it did seem a little bazaar. That said they did lose their full back close to half time and needed help with height in the back half. Both teams finished with no bench so for us the bye comes at the right time.

Massive game the following week and looking forward to Q's mighty Houghton and seeing if we have really improved. :)
