the last contract I was working ran out yesterday and so a month ago the job hunted started and in the last week I have basically landed a cruisy gig with a company van, just a few fine details to get sorted.......
5 yr contracts also assist in some job certainty!

Apparently today would have been Princess Diana's 54th birthday. Just saw a picture of her, I'd forgotten how beautiful she was.

I was at Tea Tree Plaza the day she died, and found out when I got back to my grandparents' place.

I was also at TTP when I found out Michael Hutchence died.

The moral of the story? Stay away from the Plaza, and nobody dies.

Walk into fridge, no Becks. Girl over loud speaker "John, please check cool room for 6 cartons of Becks"

I go to the counter "7 cartons"..."You want 7?", "No, one, make John look for 7". "John, 7 cartons of Beck please".

John comes out the cool room with 6 cartons, I grab one off the trolley "Thanks John". Lady at counter "Hey! They're mine!"

"I don't think so", I say, "I get my first and only before you get your 9th".....

Go to counter, "Just the one thanks" pay, walk out, get in car.

Lady comes out with 13 on her trolley "Hope you're happy" she says as I drive past.

a lot of people complain about seeing inane posts from their friends, yet still continue to read them!

The best thing to do is unfollow all of the people that annoy you. That is different to defriending so they dont get all butthurt about it, but you still dont have to see their posts

I almost use it as a news aggregator in a lot of ways, though twitter is better for that purpose.

another big advantage is the ease at which you can set up a small group or invite. it makes it so easy to communicate with a lot of people quickly.

So there are big advantages if you are prepared to put up with and or block the crap that comes with it.

Good idea. I have unfollowed the person who writes 'I sharted' at least five times a week on their FB page.

3 weeks in the states with family beginning tomorrow. Wife and kids went early to spend time with her sisters and parents and tomorrow i make my way over! Looking forward to a nice getaway for a bit!

Not looking forward to a 6am flight, means gotta be up at 330ish to get from home to the airport... but cant complain!

Tonights British F1 Grand Prix, absolute belter of a race

The Mrs and I found the original series of Pokemon on Netflix. That is now our bedtime show. Watched about 8 episodes in two nights.

I also downloaded Pokemon Blue for my phone, and play with a Gameboy emulator app.

Gotta catch 'em all!
