Cooked the figures?
Saw a couple of people who went and they reckon 1200 tops

Nah, probably close to the mark, crowd more than doubled after 2pm.
Got to remember that figure includes Norwoods reserves and officials as well as the two other teams.

As disappointed as I was going home last night (don't get me wrong, I'm still disappointed regardless of the following stats), we were probably lucky we didn't see 4 disastrous quarters instead of 2

- A North side playing the worst footy in the club's history
- 16 of North's best 25 on the sidelines injured
- 16 Crows players with AFL experience, the strongest Crows side since our club let them in to the league
- 5 North juniors who had made debuts in the past 4 games
- Crows side had more AFL experience than the North sides SANFL experience
- No bench 1/2 way through last 1/4

I hope it doesn't get any worse........................................

Had a chuckle when listening to ABC radio earlier. Matt Jaensch said it was great to "stick it up" the North fans after they "disrespected" the Ravens last year.

I was very impressed with Luke Teasdale, I thought he tried all day and it is important to see who plays well when the team is struggling.

I can see why he won the reserve medal and not just because of the haircut.

He is going to be a good leader for the club and a crowd favourite.

He always looked like he was going to be one of those "great reserves players", his last 2 league games have been his best by a long way IMHO

Teasdale is a good example for the selectors,
we need to give the young guys a few games to get used to pace of league footy,
especially as the season is shot and now it is all about youth into 2016 and beyond.

scott wrote:With Van Berlo, Ellis-Yolmen and Cheney playing their first SANFL matches for the season yesterday, Adelaide has now utilised 50 players at league level in 2015 - the highest number of players used by a team at SANFL league level since my records began in 2008. Eagles with 49 in 2010 is the closest.

Adelaide has had 4/50 play every game (Callinan, A Wilson, Ramsey & Spencely) and only a further six who have played at least 9/12 games. A total of 22 have played 1-3 games.

North has already used more players this year (41) than any other season since 2011 when they used 45, and have only had two players play every match this year (Motlop & Clisby). With none left on the bench yesterday in the second half, there's every chance that 41 figure will climb as early as next round.

I have West in 2008 at 50 players
Ryan Anderson
Stephen Bailey
Matthew Barber
Jonathon Beech
Scott Blesing
Scott Bricknell
Nathan Brown
Caolan Buckley
Daniel Caire
Leonard Clark
Damian Cupido
Patrick Dangerfield
Luke Donaldson
Marc Dragicevic
James Ezard
Ryan Ferguson
Aaron Fielke
Ben Fisher
Leigh Gathercole
Rick Giles
Robert Gray
Ben Grieger
Murray Hamblin
Hamish Hartlett
Salim Hassan
Logan Hill
Ben Hollands
Alex Hutchins
Matthew Martin
Simon McCormick
Brad Moran
Steven Morris
Simon Munn
Shane Neaves
David Piasente
Ryan Plant
John Pratt
Greg Rowe
Jeremy Rowe
Taite Silverlock
Tyson Slattery
Rhys Stanley
Daniel Sukkel
Kurt Thompson
Kurt Tippett
James Vanderhaak
Peter Walsh
Daniel Webb
Ryan Willits
Brad Wilson

Glenelg also in 2001 had 50 (going back to 1983 those records are); Port had 49 too in 2002.
