Accept it and move on, don't make excuses like booing the umps after the siren which is becoming a norm for Port games.

The first 6 weeks of the year the umpiring was as good as it has been for a few years, the last 6 weeks in all games have been terrible.

In the back is simply no longer a free kick. Holding the ball is bullshit again, players going 360° in a tackle, getting tackled to the ground and just shoveling it out is all good, one armed off loads to team mates in close is all good and they still **** it up when a bloke puts his head over the ball and gets jumped on. Chopping of the arms / over the shoulder / hands in the back, where have they gone?

The amount of missed decisions is the most concerning for mine. They've put the whistles away and although you would think it's for the better I don't think it is.The umpiring has taken a backwards step in recent weeks in all games IMO.

Lever got caught out against Schultz with the chopping of the arms but thought he was lucky in a lot of other contests not to get pinged. Agree with you its common across the league now though.

I thought the umpiring was fine. They certainly didn't favour the crows. Seems like excuses to me to be perfectly honest.

The dissatisfaction with the umpires seems to coincide with the increasing importance of each game and ports inability to get the job done?

Looks slow, can't chase. Really struggling with leg speed.

Not sure what game you were watching.

boak was easily your best imo

Yeah, not sure what Bronwyn Bishop is on about here, Boak was clearly Port's best and stood up and kicked two goals just when the side needed them and also ran down Danger just enough to add some pressure to a Danger kick in the second quarter at an important time. Hardly struggling for pace.

Some of his work in the 3rd quarter wasn't good enough.
Dangerfield and Thompson 26 clearances between them backs up what I'm saying. He allowed them to run straight past him which resulted in goals.
His last quarter was excellent.

Nope, read my review, I've noted why Port didn't win and it wasn't the umpires and you'll note I've made it clear above that I think the umpiring across the board is poor and had nothing to do with yesterdays results.

We smashed them in the third, but I don't think it was just boaks fault.

Jacobs hitouts to advantage mean any opposition mids would struggle. Give Jacobs more credit and Boak less stick would be my view.

No doubt, Jacobs dominance added to it. Maybe the rotations were off a bit, which made him stay in the middle to long.
Doesn't help when is basically doing it solo a lot of the time. Just thought his 3rd quarter effort was a bit off.

i agree that the umpiring has just disintegrated into absolute rubbish this year.

yes we can all be one-eyed when our team is playing, but some of the shockers that I have seen when Im watching as a neutral fan, makes me grateful that it wasn't my team for that decision.

As I noted in my review, Wines was kept out of the game for long patches which helped the clearances for Adelaide. Wines and Boak had 8 clearances each and Gray 6, hardly a bad return. From there though it was Ebert and Ryder 3 each and Krakouer and Ah Chee two each.

So a ruckman and a half back were in the top half dozen for clearances....not good enough.

Never been reported in his career so that probably saved him a week or two

Still going on about this.
Unfortuantly one of your team's "Greats" couldn't get away with Fraud and went to Jail and admitted betting on a game he was playing in.
