This week's winners

Bombers
Saints
Shoes
Emus
Roos
Cockledivers
Flies in a close one. B. Thompson a massive out for Reynella.
Should be great games in all grades at Reynella. Tipping Flaggies to win the B-Grade and U-18s and Reynella the rest.

How will Morphettville go filling a side now that school holiday's are over?

Thank you for the reply. I see they won't be filling a side this week at least.

Ouch Esteban dare we say- a week is a long time in football!!

When will the powers that be decide that these clubs without juniors just move on and play in the amateurs!! The SFL cronies need to make these guys accountable and fine the clubs every time they forfeit. This might help the decision making process of the offending clubs easier.

Sad that it takes until late July to get 5 good competitive games on a Saturday.

Half the time we don't get 5 games on a Saturday.

Most of the time its a random sample of clubs from the league playing at the one venue.

Reynella too good across all grades, going to take some big efforts from stopping them having a big GF day.

Game called off just after half time as ambos took too long getting getting him off ground.

Was a cracker game would have loved to see it continue.

The A grade game was a great arm wrestle for 3 and a half quarters. Flaggies got within 3 points in the last quarter before the flies put the foot down and slammed on 6 of the last 7 or so.

Should be an awesome 5 game rematch at Pig Park in a few weeks. Be interesting to see what the teams learnt from the games on Saturday.

Does anyone have a report on the wineys ruckman in the A grade? Didnt get up for some time and was very groggy coming off the ground.

Some great banter under the verandah too. Had a ball.

LGIL- would of thought a choke would be losing from a seemingly unassailable lead? Certainly not the case on the weekend. All grades except the Bs were closely fought affairs.

Went and watched the 2nd Half of Reynella v Flaggies. With Scores tied half way through the 3rd and Luke McEntee leaving the field with assistance of two trainers very dazed I thought Flaggies may break the game open. However Reynella the arm wrestle continued with Reynella getting the last goal to take the lead into 3qtr time.

The last qtr saw Reynella take control and dominate the game with Flaggies struggling to link effective possesions together and when they did Reynella would clean up and rush forward and kicking very accurately to take the game away from Flaggies.

Reynella really stood up and went up a gear when they game was there to be won and Flaggies could not go with them once the game was open and free flowing. Flaggies looked a lot better when they could get numbers around the ball and keep it contested.

I agree it is great to see so many join the umpiring gig BUT like any other job you must be able to get the basics right. I cannot believe how many boundary throw ins don't hit the contest and central ump lets the play go.

Tribe broadcast , I am wondering how many bottom of the table games have been called ?

From tribefmradio.com.au, they scheduled the first half of the season and are yet to update their schedule

Up until last weekend amount of times every club had been in the match of the round
(in A grade ladder order)

Reynella - 5 (including their scheduled game against Mvale on the 9/8)
Flagstaff - 2
Noarlunga - 2
Brighton - 3
MVale - 3 (includes their scheduled game against Reynella on 9/8)
Mville - 2
Christies - 2
Porties - 3
HValley - 3
Townies - 2
Cove - 1
Hackam - 2
OSB/Lon - 1
Marion - 1
Aldinga - 2

Having the top teams been on air more makes sense though.

No way they can make it even with only 5 games left to air before finals that haven't been scheduled in already.

Makes me wonder how they will schedule their remaining games will they go the game of the round or for evenness of each team's air time?
For instance will the next flagstaff Hill v Reynella game be aired due to it most probably being the a fight between the top 3? even though that will be the 6th time that Reynella has been on the air? the only other game that might take it away from that game in round 19 is the Mvale V Noarlunga game

thx for concern MF.... Benny Mc is alright, slight whiplash and concussion all clear from doctors but still very sore .... big thx form all at the Roos for the assistance by Valley trainers especially Hank Middleton who was on the scene with in 30 odd seconds .....

One question came out off the game ..... timekeepers, Team Managers, and Umpires all had different time for when the 30 time period started for Ambo .... the umpires went off the goal umpires watch .... surely the field umpire should signal the timekeepers as when time should start .... Timekeepers had 1 min 50 left, Managers 1min 40 when time was blown ..... something that needs to be looked at by League and clubs ..... the other point is , Is 3/4 time included in the 30 mins as the incident happened at the 4 min mark of third quarter ... considering the quarter runs for 22 mins that left 18 mins off play + 7 mins 3/4 time leaving 12 mins in last ..... would be great to hear other ppls thoughts ... Ambos left oval 2 min after the 30 min period had expired.... in the end the concern was for only the player that was injured ...the respect Steve Wallace and his players as well as supporters from both clubs was fantastic ..... have heard two different rules , 1: the rule is as written in official hand book which both clubs followed the other is 2: clubs work together to play shortened quarters to to get a result .... thoughts please ... if the same result happened in a final could get a bit boisterous ......
