Isn't the club/school arrangement/situation what largely forced the SANFL season-long Under 17s competition transpire into a nine-week Under 16s competition? Glenelg was a classic - generally dominated the first part of the U/17 season before a huge mid-season slump thanks to Sacred Heart.

I don't even get why kids need to go to private schools and be subjected to this.
Sent my daughter to a public school in the southern suburbs and she got a 99.5 ATAR score and entry into anything she wanted.
Cop out for bad parents with too much money?

You are spot on with what you say Wedgie. I think good students will get good results no matter what school they go to though.

Your daughter is obviously an extremely bright girl as that is an exceptional score.

Could she have got the maximum 99.95 if she went to a private school?

Score would have been the same, actually didn't use all the points she got marked up for.

We don't often agree on here wedgie but I couldn't agree more. Only imaginable reason really is that the parents may have a definite wish for their child to have a religious education; otherwise it's beyond me.

Sorry to differ but when I started seeing Sharon, her 8 year old was at a public school, often bullied because of his Asperger's & close to suicide at the age of just 8!!
We sent him to a private school & he received the extra help he needed & is going along in leaps and bounds.

Aaron Francis to miss for West because he has to play for his college. Crazy!

College football, you have to be kidding. What a joke

It's in their school contracts. If he doesn't play its possible he could be suspended. Kid needs to finish high school for life after football. Its a pain but thats just hiw it is.

Yep, just a pissant little school thinking it's more important than it is

Don't forget to save yourself $14 at the gate by stabbing a free ticket from The Good Guys on your way to the ground. You're welcome.

I would like to say thanks to my club and the other SANFL clubs who voted to have Adelaide and Port Adelaide in SANFL, they have made our competition a farce/joke whatever you want to call it!

We have never lost to them but that will change this week IMO.
Ravens have kicked 40 goals in their last 2 games, would take about 6 games for us to achieve that!

Yep we'll get smacked, unless it's torrential, in which case we might escape with losing 8 goals to 3 or the like.

Providing there wasn't any injuries, with Talia coming back in the AFL team the sanfl team should have a full team with afl listed players beside Callian!

Think they had the full compliment against West too, who are playing better than us but still copped a touch up.

In 1972 North beat the VIctorian champions Carlton.
Now we are talking about how no one will get near Adelaide's effing reserve side. This is a bunch of blokes not good enough to make the 1st team.
It's truly sad what has happened to our once great league. :(

If the AFL Crows remain injury free and the Reserves keep this side they could make the finals.
