It's a joke that Boo Eddys record will be broken in this way. IIRC Eddys record is about 129 and will be soundly beaten by the looks of things

Pending injury it will be broken.

I believe so, I don't think TW played finals the year he kicked 129. Hairy Cat might be able to confirm or deny though

Looks that way, a 364point win, kicking 59 goals, the interesting stat, appears that they were held to just 4 goals in the 3rd quarter before kicking 25 in the last. At least the one or two players that are left can celebrate last years premiership to ease the pain.

They messed up the quarter by quarter on sporting pulse, it was 1st 15g/2nd 15g/3rd 15g/4th 14.

Pretty sure Quinton Graham kicked 40 for Gumeracha a few years back.
Think the Australian record is a kid who kicked 60 odd one day in colts

According to Peter Lines' South Australian Country Football Digest, in SA:

40 - Quinton Graham (Gumeracha) - 2010 v Callington United Eagles
33 - E. H. (Snow) Tschirpig (Moorook) - 1948 v Winkie
32 - Eamon Bull (Willunga) - 1996 v Port Elliot
32 - Ross Gibbs (Victor Harbor) - 1995 v Port Elliot
then 4 on 30

Port Elliot were a force in the mid 90s :?

That's 306 DT points without adding any marks taken, tackles or behinds.

I wouldn't think the tackle number would be very high. Probably a lot of marks though.

Doesn't surprise me. Been hearing that since Round 2 from various people. Mind you, anyone taking over from Tallboy is on a hiding to nothing. That bloke sets a really high standard in how he deals with things / people.

Just on umpiring I saw something happen on Saturday that I would like to get clarified if anyone has an answer. I seen a player kick to himself out of the goal square from a behind, shank the kick and go out of bounds. Umpire paid a free kick as it went out of bounds untouched. Is this correct? I was of the opinion that it is a throw in as the ball has been bought back in to play by the guy kicking to himself, however I could be wrong (usually am).

Your interpretation is the correct one, kicking to yourself counts as the kick in.

Balaklava is hosting the grand final this year.

One item that came up for discussion is cars around the oval, or no cars around the oval.

What's people's thoughts? I know in the Riverland we had no cars around the oval on GF day.

I don't really mind either way. The ol ute with a couch in the back reversed up to the fence is classic.

Might be overruled by the league anyway but just trying to get some other opinions or thoughts.
