Ch9 AFL Division 6 - 2015

One of the best games all season at fawk reserve on Saturday. A super talented west croydon threw everything they could at Smithfield on Saturday, but the Panthers held out in the end.

Sure was a cracking game! Sumner,Cooper and Wiles to return this week. Not so great a spectacle in the Bgrade though

those 3 outs cost you the win imo..sfc had garner nisbet and reggie wanganeen out but your outs were significant when you are trying to knock off the top team..ashby was the difference with his class and poise..wcfc lacked some polish on the outside and didnt have a crumbing forward to help mckinnon..had plenty of entries but got repelled over and over..3 points in the game with 10 minutes to go but sfc kicked the last 2 goals..

wcfc B grade got their first goal in the last quarter..was surprised with the margin of that result..

Thanks for the reminder Zedman. Smithys Bgrade use of the footy and run on a wettish a day carved us up. Lucky they kicked so many points.

impressed with the 4 lads who played 2 games for sfc as well..with hanuman getting bog honours in the A grade and thompson playing well off the hbf after playing ressies..

sidenote..ashby did kick 5..i thought it was 6! and 3 of M lanes goals should be with J lane i reckon..M was off the ground for 2-3 quarters and i saw J kick at least 3..those 2 lads couldnt be more different imo!

Yesterday was Monday... I needed the laugh

A grade fairly settled then.. Tend to agree with the B grade, this weeks game v BL is only a case of bragging rights, since we will play at home regardless in the final because our A grade will (almost certainly) finish 4th.. So we follow them

Lockleys B grade the dark horse though, wouldn't want to come up against them in the finals.. Seen many a side come from 4th/5th to win flags, they are a genuine threat

Agree with all that. Lockleys are a serious threat in the B grade - last years premiers, coming along very nicely of late and play a very competitive style of football, they know how to win and what is needed. With the exception of a 48pt loss in Rd 3 to Brahma Lodge, their other defeats this season have been below 4 goals - and a lot of their losses under 2 goals.

They're yet to be genuinely blown away by a side, and they have flexed their muscles with some strong wins. Their A grade are cruising along, almost reaching peak strength, which will filter to the B grade.

If they get through the elimination final, I'd be seriously worried if I were the side to drop the qualifying final..

Side note Zartan, I thought your umpire was one of the better ones we have had in the B grade, boys all said how much better the game is knowing both umpires were good and paid both ways.. So hats off to his performance on the weekend
