That'd be a pain in the arse.

Hopefully he doesn't get case of sour grapes if he's not selected this week.

Is he in arrears? ;)

Adelaide Uni In's: Hutton, Lewis and Vickery.

Mostly from their C1 and C2 sides although Lewis has played D1R this year and did some good things at a very high standard (D2 and D1) in '12 and '13.

Why not bring him in for the first game in this side for the year. :?

They're playing funny buggers. Applying for permits for one comp then naming them in another.

Interesting that AU have permits for Carroll, Henderson, Chalk and Lewis, but have only selected the latter two for the D7 game. Carroll playing 1R, Henderson i don't see.

They would have just covered bases. Permits would have been submitted early in the week, they wouldn't have finalised their teams until last night.

We've asked for two permits for our game tomorrow, but will only use one of them.

I get applying for permits and then not using them, but applying for permits and then naming them in different teams?

Meh, couldn't care less, other than finding a matching for Lewis and keeping a more than usual keen eye on the team sheets, it won't change a single thing I wouldn't have thought.

Selections change from when you apply for permits I guess, especially at Uni, working out those sides come this time of the year would be a nightmare

Essentially the same thing. Obviously they required Carroll in D1R after all.

Yeah OK, furry muff.

One of the difficult things about having 4,397 players I suppose.

And guernsey numbers to match.

Just on that, what's the highest number anyone has seen from AU?

So Morell, will you actually make yourself available to talk to tomorrow, or will you have to rush off to be guest speaker somewhere?

Look I get the permit stuff, no biggie, what I don't get is how the hell Chalk can get a permit having played 4 Div 7 games and 9 Div 1 reserves games and back from injury last week in C2. That's exploitation when the rules are clear, you have to have played majority of games in the grade you are applying for a permit to. Free interchange should only apply to finals and not be applicable to teams still figuring in minor round matches.
