Look I get the permit stuff, no biggie, what I don't get is how the hell Chalk can get a permit having played 4 Div 7 games and 9 Div 1 reserves games and back from injury last week in C2. That's exploitation when the rules are clear, you have to have played majority of games in the grade you are applying for a permit to. Free interchange should only apply to finals and not be applicable to teams still figuring in minor round matches.

Read all the rules. Chalk is eligible because he played D7 last week, regardless of what he has done during the year. If he had played D1R last week he wouldn't have got a permit.

Have the permits changed over the last year or so?
I don't understand how a bloke who has played 9 Div1R, 4 Div7 games and 1 C2 games can play Div 7, yet a bloke who has played 7 Div7 games and 4 Div7R games gets told if he plays 7R tommorow then he cant play DIv7 next week?
Even know he didn't play at all last week?

Yeah of course, I'll be around. Will be chaperoning the missus and Ned the Pug though.

Hahaha as if! Last time I had to rush off as my planned dog-feeder pulled out. Ned needs his biscuits and likes to get them by 6 or he gets late night reflux.

You'd think I'm joking, but I am not.

Hahaha, Ned is my life man. There is nothing more important than him. If he doesn't eat by 6 o'clock he doesn't digest his food properly before he sleeps and he then wakes up all night with stomach convulsions.

Mostly from their C1 and C2 sides although Lewis has played D1R this year and did some good things at a very high standard (D2 and D1) in '12 and '13.

Why not bring him in for the first game in this side for the year. :?

Lewis has also played at sanfl level at North

That would be Jack Lewis not Ben Lewis.

One of the difficult things about having 4,397 players I suppose.

And guernsey numbers to match.

Just on that, what's the highest number anyone has seen from AU?

I've seen most numbers running around including the guy in 1990 who sewed his numbers into his jumper inside out and ended up with a backwards 731. Highest number was 400. As an aside, I coached a side that somehow ended up with two players wearing 284.
Numbers at uni are based on registered numbers and players buy their own jumpers so that players can move from one team to another and wear their jumper without problems. It was good to see number 84 Ryan Agnew get best for our a grade last week.

We always thought it was like the Stonecutters Club from the Simpsons where numbers determined rank and a member with a higher number couldn't speak to a member with a lower number unless first spoken to by said member.
