And Travis Hyde is a bit short for a bloke with a torn calf, torn hamstring and torn groin.
he's had niggles all year. Has a great per game goal average. Not taking any risks with his odds thank you very much...

And who will be lining up forward? So I can ensure the punters get a fair book. We wouldn't want aspersions to be cast in regards to the equality of morells bookmaking.

I reckon it will be a cracker game this weekend. HDFC been consistently around the mark the last few years, and MPFC have some great lads running around the place that I got to play half a dozen games with last year with as a fill in. I'm tipping HDFC by 15 points. with their biggest advantage coming from Schutz in the ruck and his positioning around the ground. Midfield pretty evenly balanced Weekley, Pike, Hyde's, Regan, Bradford pretty strong and good rotations. Best on ground for me will be either one of the Hyde's or Walczak running off half back.

Who's oval is most similar to the Thebby?

I'd say there isn't a real advantage for either team with the oval or location.

I tried to add ours up. I think three of us played in the 2006 GF. And maybe five of us in the 2009 GF.

Yes, I watched that game. I think one of our lads, Jay Horne, played that day.

Messrs Mazey, Potuszynski, Harrison, Daish and Ortmann would've all fit quite comfortably into a Div 2 or 3 side at the time. Plus all the old Mitchell Parkers - Luke Mac, Sarge, Jezza...

Was a great D7 side.

Bored at lunch and got the ok from the main man so here is my main match up's for then weekend

C.Schutz v Lindholm:
Cam is alot more atheletic than Lindholm but Lindholm knows how to use his body well in contests around the ground. Dont know if he will have the legs to follow Schutz around.

Mcmurtrie v Parker:
Parker tagged Mcmurtrie out of the game last time and i know he is out to make amends expect. Could be a crucial match up in the outcome.

Davis v Regan:
Both these blokes are bulls out of gates and have no regard for there own body. Would be a dream match up on each other

Keetch v Bradford:
Both veterans of there teams and will be hoping to lead there teams to victory. Keetch coming back to some real good form after a long lay off and Bradford has got the job done all year.

Gilling v Stead
Gilling has proven to be one of the best full forwards in the comp. I must admit to not knowing much about Stead but im sure he is a decent backman.

Bray v Scuppan:
Schuppan took the chocies earlier in the year but Bray come back into form over the last 2 games and like Mcmurtrie is ready to make amends

J.Horne v Walczak:
Not sure if these 2 will match up on each other but both are x factors to each team with Horne hard to contain when the ball hits the deck and Walczak having the run and carry off the last line of defence and not afraid to take the big marks late in the game.

Mcdonnell v Grimley:
The leading goal kicker of the year will take some stopping but i feel Grimley is up to the task. Will also need the whole backline to stiffle his leads.

Lech v J.Currie:
Lech could create all sorts of problems with has hard leading and strong hands across the half forward line. Currie is a solid defender and reads the play well expect a tight tussle between the 2

T.Hyde v Birtle:
All depends if Hyde plays didnt look too good after coming off in the first 5 mins last week but ill take Morell's word for it. Having seen Hyde play but know he will be dangerous up forward

J.Hyde v Glanville:
Should be a good clash between these two Hyde creates a good contest and Glanville is a smart CHB who gets in the right spots

 Bloke whose played all his career in D7, have you even seen D2 or 3? That's a pretty outlandish comment to be making, how do you even justify that?

It's not all that outlandish. They wouldn't be stars but could slot into the 21.

None of those guys have played all their careers in D7. In fact they've played much higher for most of their careers.

Mazey - just kicked 40 goals for Happy Valley and got named in the best 10 times - would be an instant pick in any D2 or D3 side
Potuszynski - played a season for Happy Valley and kicked 16 goals in 14 games. In 2012 would've been first 21 in D2 or D3 easily.
Harrison - played a couple of seasons at Christies Beach and I think finished very high in their B and F. D2 or D3 quality player in 2012, easily.
Daish - played for Aldinga, Hackham and OSB over the journey. Would be a D3 pick pretty easily.
Ortmann - played A Grade for Port Noarlunga for many years - might've been a bit old in 2012 for D2 but would've slotted into D3.

Typical attitude about the lower grades though, it's not the top end of teams that have a lack of ability, most D6 and D7 sides would have 5 or 6 that could play much higher. It's after those where the depth plummets and the overall standard drops.
