That's not what Hally told me Saturday. The reality is we have named 24 because they are the boys that got us here in the first place. Fitness tests will be done tomorrow at 11am and I would be confident they will all be fine so a couple will miss unfortunately.

Amazing how many time I've posted something and have people smash the concept...wait a few pages of posts then someone else coming in and either saying the exact same thing I have but in a different way or completely agreeing with what I have said.

Starting to learn that the amateur football circles are sycophantic - and this forum even more so.

Bit off-topic but I once heard someone say 'I thought a sycophant was a cousin of the elephant' and that is what I think of whenever I see that word. 8)

Had a look at the forecast for tomorrow - bit cloudy, 18 degrees, wind 16kph. Absolutely perfect weather for a grand final - bring it on!!! :D

I have loved all the post on this feed all year ..

I wish all the players playing today good luck..

Just remember we are playing the best game in the world show it respect and maybe just maybe the footy gods will give you that lucky bounce or roll..

But remember its what u put in and are willing to give up is the key for today and life. .

Play hard never give in till the siren goes..

P.s go lions :) :) :)

Best of luck to the Houghton boys today. Q- I hope the lads reward your tremendous loyalty to HFC with a premiership.

Hopefully two ex-HV lads Micky G and Franga have blinders and pick up a flag.

Good luck to both sides today. Nothing but respect for everyone up at the Houghton Footy Club. Everything I see, read and hear about you guys reminds me so much of Mitchell Park - if you in any way know me (the actual me, not morell) and what I am about, that is as high a compliment as I can bestow.

Obviously hoping for a Lions victory but am already incredibly proud of our club and whats it has achieved in 2015. Been a great year!

Blown away from the support from our community - if you haven't seen it check out the link to the Facebook group in my signature. Absolutely brilliant.

Tell me true, Houghton boys. Have the umpires been decent this half? Or am I biased?

I think it's been an even contest, Houghton a bit in front, but the umps are f***ing ruining this.

From a CLG supporter, well done to one of our closest neighbours, I know the struggles you have had and it's great you have gone through that and got to other end with a premiership. Well done

Mitchell Park 1-1 1-5 5-6 8-7 55
Houghton 1-3 4-4 6-9 6-9 45
Goals MP - Leck, Hyde, McDonnell 2 Weekley, Cester 1
H - Kuhar 3 McMurtrie, Ballatori, Gilling 1 (if the programme matches the right nos to names)
As a neutral thanks to both teams for a good game of footy well worth the watch. Especially to MP to come back kicking the last 6 goals to get over the line. Held Houghton scoreless from 15 minute mark of the 3rd quarter.
