Exciting indeed, and the draw couldn't have dished up a more interesting final 2 rounds. Pardon for stating the obvious but...
Unley play both 2nd and 3rd with a win in either game securing top spot but with Modbury and Gaza both pretty much assured wins in the games where they don't play Unley, The Jets can't tick the minor premier box just yet. With Modbury their opponent in R18 at the Hawks Nest, the home game against Gaza next Sat is crunch time.
PAC should win both their remaining games, notwithstanding Broadies past giant killing efforts, so if UMJ finish top, then third could be decided on % with a three way split likely if Unley beat both Gaza and Modbury.
And Scotch and St Peters are heading for a final round game v each other for the final spot in the 5, given next week they play Gepps Cross and Walkerville respectively.
Hard to put money on the final 5 order just yet.

4 of the 5 Round 18 games can have an impact on who or where teams finish on the ladder. Double chances could be decided by .1%

Huge week coming up.

I'm still amazed with how the human body works. Yesterday in the B grade game between SMOSH and Gaza, young Brad Finney copped a broken jaw from a fend off "to the chest" as the umpire described it. I would hate to see what would have happened if he copped the fend off to the jaw........
Fin is still in hospital waiting for surgery. He is a big out for SMOSH heading into the elimination final against Scotch.
Hope he has a speedy recovery.

All the best to teams competing in the finals this year.

On another note, it was Lucas Stubings last game as A grade coach yesterday. He has made a massive impact on our club and everyone wishes him well.

Whilst the 5th game didn't have an impact on the finals. Both clubs had something to play for

North Adelaide District Football Association Memorial Trophy & Medal

The Medal was won by Jacob Fisher of Broadview with 11 goals.

He also won the Medal in the Last game between the clubs on Anzac Day with a 10 goal haul.

He also won the D2 Goal kicking trophy after starting the day 6 goals behind the leader.
2017, 2019 & 2020 PREMIERS
RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Classic speech by Harder.

Would have had the Executive/Community football board reps cringing at one point though

Alluded to some non-football payment incentives which would not be caught by the agreed salary cap next year (but is obviously absolutely within the rules this year and next year albeit not the spirit of next year's).

More to the point he pretty publicly shone a spotlight on the biggest hole in the salary cap

Sounds like he may have shined a spot light directly on the Unley-Mercedes football club.

Not really, certainly nothing against the rules this year and not against the rules next year.

Just rather publicly illuminated the obvious (legitimate) hole in the salary cap that will likely further discriminate between clubs on a purely socio-economic basis.

Ben Hook asked him how he came to play at Unley, he responded that his boss is high up there and looked after him at work if he came out to play at Unley.

The implication naturally being that in his regular employment there are inducements (financial or otherwise) to play at Unley (this may be absolutely incorrect).

If, hypothetically that is correct, and obviously is within the Salary Cap rules you've got the potential for the widening of the gap between the "haves" and "have nots"
